Oh man

Because one man pleaded guilty to something does not make it a crime for a co conspirator.

There was no actual trial. It was a plea deal. To act like this plea makes it a crime for Trump is dumb

You already crucified hillary without a trial so why the hypocrisy?

In other words, you're a bitch @oleDirtyBast4rd

I meant there are grounds for impeachment not that the GOP would do it.
I mean, there could be. Impeaching a President for something done before taking office, even as part of the campaign, doesn't seem like it would have legs to me unless really heinous (murder, robbery, etc.). But that's just imo. Sure, he's lied out the ass about it, but until that happens in an official capacity/under oath, I don't think it can hold enough water.

Essentially no chance of that. They may lose seats, actually. The thing is, not everybody is up for reelection at the same time in our system; this cycle, the dems are on the line much more than the republicans. It's different this cycle in the House, where everyone is in the hot seat this year.

Bloody Hell. The American political system seems even more complicated than the British version:)

What's @Ripskater think about all this, let me guess, something something love the sinner, something something supreme Court ,something. Abortion ?

???
The payments were a violation of campaign finance law. You can argue that Trump didn't commit that crime, but you can't argue that the law isn't the law lol. He can't have done what Cohen indicates- and plead guilty to- without it being a crime.

Jesus

This is NOT settled law. The former FEC Head is on record saying it’s not a violation. Just because one dude pleads out does not make it an actual crime. A crime for him yes. But not set in stone

I’d be willing to bet that if they go after Trump or ANYONE saying this was a crime and the defendant fights it they will be found not guilty

I will bet you that u can not find me ever crucifying Hillary. I don’t think she should ever be prosecuted for the Emails

It's full of redundancies and weird shit that makes some sense but not... full sense. We designed this stuff back when there were a lot less states, to put it mildly, and though the system has mechanisms to account for growth, shit definitely gets weird.

Our constitution was crafted by a bunch of stodgy, often firebreathing old dudes that had various personal conflictions, rivalries, and financial goals based on the outcome. They compromised on basically everything, even ideas that probably could have been much more effectively conceived, for the sake of moving forward and generating a central government strong enough to raise armies for indian fighting/putting down peasant revolts, but weak enough not to risk curtailing the ascension of a resource rich american aristocratic land owning class.
