I keep picturing a jury made up of 50% Trump supporters and 50% people with brains, all of whom post in the War Room. I don't think 12 of us could agree unanimously about 18 of anything.

They just asked the judge "what do we do if we can't come to a consensus on one count", which reads like they have 17 counts figured out (could also mean they haven't agreed on any one count, I guess, but that's very poor wording if so). I'm thinking that is good for the prosecution, but you never know. The Judge can accept a partial verdict and then tell them to deliberate that last count. He's convening them for instructions momentarily.

He ran on being a great businessman so it's relevant. We saw he bankrupted companies before he became a TV star, and if he was flush with cash due to criminal activity, it would just go to show how much of a fraud he is.

I know this forum half as well as I should like, and like less than half of the forum, half as well as they deserve.

But this is great posting, well-reasoned analysis, which makes the forum a fine setting for debate.

Interdasting. Reuters says it's only one count the jury can't come to a consensus on:

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Reuters) - Jurors in the trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on Tuesday asked the judge in his bank and tax fraud trial how to fill out a verdict form for a single count if it cannot come to a consensus on that count.

“If we cannot come to a consensus on a single count, how should we fill out the verdict form for that count?” jurors asked the judge, who read the question aloud in court.

The judge said if they were not able to reach a unanimous conclusion on any count, he would ask them if they could reach a consensus on other counts.

Ignore his misleading header and read the article he posted and you'll see it says the exact same thing.

Around 11 a.m. of the panel’s fourth day of deliberations, a note with a question came from the jury foreman, asking how jurors should fill out the verdict form “if we cannot come to a consensus on a single count,” said U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III. The jury also asked what that would mean for the final verdict, Ellis said.

Either way the verdict goes, Manafort wins; he would get pardoned as surely as water is wet and Donald Trump is a liar.

I literally copy-pasted from the front page of Washington Post. I'm not responsible for their confusing headlines.

It's amusing to me that you all are HOPING for this man to be found guilty. I only care that justice is served, so if he's guilty I hope he's convicted. Pretty sure you guys are totally convinced he's guilty of the heinous crime of working with Donald Trump and therefore he must be convicted of these tax/fraud charges.

I haven't seen anything on them reaching consensus on the other charges. I could see people speculating on that since they spent 3 days deliberating so you might assume it hasn't been all on this one charge but who knows.
