I don't think it was detrimental to the business at all. Now it definitely wasn't the pinnacle, the defining moment, like some idiots claim it was, but it wasn't detrimental either. There still isn't any room in the business for guys with no guys at all other than the willingness to take ridiculous bumps. CZW has always been very fringe. The biggest gave ever got was an AEW TV main event, Mondo never even got to that height.
I wonder if Nash would say the same thing about Jimmy Snuka jumping off the cage. Probably not because the only reason he said that is because he probably doesn't like Foley personally.

I think there has to be some kind of line drawn, because the business can't be 100% safe either, because that would be pretty boring.

So in that sense, I don't think it's necessarily hypocritical to be against the Foley bump and approve of the Snuka splash off of the cage. Snuka's splash was spectacular but didn't have nearly the impact or potential for disaster that Foley cage dive did.

Really the most dangerous thing about the Foley HIAC bump was the commentators' monitors, he could've split his head on those, if they would've simply removed them beforehand it would've been way less dangerous.
