They do it for new years celebrations in Ecuador. No wonder this video surfaced the week of the new year. Probably the same thing for his previous photo. The new year in South America is wild. They burn effigies and other crazy shit.

I’ll also add that guys used to dress up like girls for Halloween all the time when I was growing up, too. This was in the 90’s. Not uncommon at all.

Im in Ecuador right now and this is called „the screaming widows“ where guys dress as widows who are wearing black, run around the city and pick random guys who they then annoy with their fake crying until they give them a few cents which they collect and later use to buy alcohol. Its fun until they capture you. Apprently this is an old tradition and people also take pictures with them and so on.

Thy have a shitload of new year traditions here like the burning of dolls and the fireworks was the longest and wildest ive ever seen.

All crazy and funny and has nothing to do with being gay or whatever. Guys putting on dresses to make fun of that was also a thing in Europe and now would be considered transphpbic. The Ecuadorians dont give a shit about transphobia.
