Not everyone wants to be a fighter/ competitor.

Theres a lot of martial artists who would do very well in competition but chose not to.

There are many reasons for this.

Not necessarily to test themselves in competition.

Many value their mind, refuse to take blows to the head and diminish themselves. I know a few guys like that. Incredibly skilled, tough as all hell but they value the path of the mind more so.

The idea that you have to compete to be a badass just isnt true. That skill, talent, knowledge and wisdom and warrior like energy exists in many places, not always just in the ring.

Not everyone is a warrior and has that sort of toughness that a true fighter does. It needs to be said. GSP himself would tell you he isnt a true fighter.

There are many warriors who exist outside those ropes / that cage though. Without question.

Is it his amateur low level point fighting tma success 30+ years ago? Or is it him doing some light touch work for a minute on camera? Or just the way he moves on a heavy bag for a couple of seconds at a time? Or hitting Kimbo’s hand? Or all of the above combined into a complete picture...

Jet Li, a great fighting film star,said that the UFC fighters would easily kill him in real fight.

this is the reality, he is realistic.
