I'll be one first to admit that I actually liked the live-action film when I first saw it in theaters (I was fourteen at the time) but when Blade came out, it completely blew that movie out of the water in practically every aspect. The only thing the Spawn film had going for it, were it's special effects, which were considered cutting-edge at the time.

Spawn and Blade didn't age well, but they were some of the OG comic movies.

Spawn animated series holds up well, and honestly the live action was never great but it was fairly true to the spirit of the comic.

It and Blade both have a hand in the comic book movie insanity the MCU became.
