Just because Prince didn't sound like someone who had "belt and shout" with an angelic voice doesn't mean he wasn't a better singer than Michael, he simply was. You guys still convincing yourself that vocal tick squealing garbage from Michael is good ?

Much as I love Bad/Thriller Prince was a multi instumentalist/prolific composer/wrote hits for other people and all round genius imo. Also his music covered so many genres.

Yeah but all the ‘bad’ stories almost always involve him with other celebrities. He seems to treat regular folks with a decent amount of respect -he loved to fuck with celebs tho.


Eddie Murphy on the other hand became friends with him and outside of some bizarre surreal moments has said Prince was a funny and chill dude once you got to know him.

Yeah I think that when people have a slew of positive character stories about a person it's hard to imagine that there's a ton of bad stories either. Not saying it's impossible to imagine people having a bad day and not being positive 24/7 tho.

I actually like a lot of princes music and still listen to Purple Rain and 1999 all the time. (Naturally I have them both on vinyl).

Just because it's dated doesn't mean it's bad all of a sudden.

Tbh I never vibed with his nor Jackson’s music. I understand and respect what makes them great tho.. just not my bag.


Prince and Michael achieved a level of fame that just isn’t typical of even most others who are famous. They were celebrities amongst celebrities. That creates a wild type of isolation imo, which is going to result in some awkward moments.
