Media Michael Chandler gives update on Mcgregor fight; doubles down with McGregor on calling for patience

Meh if I was Chandler I would use the "Conor is scared" angle and talk shit about him in interviews. He's played the nice guy already and it clearly hasn't worked. Conor does his own thing and doesn't give a shit. Might as well taunt him and try get the competitive dog inside of him to come out.

Being nice and licking his boots in hopes the fight happens is pathetic.
Yet anybody that’s talked shit or been arrogant hasn’t gotten the fight with him. Pay attention, man. The only one that did was Khabib. But he had something Conor wanted. Look at Cowboy, and Dustin. Played it nice and got the fight.

I don’t have enough time, or care enough to list the people that talked shit and didn’t get the fight. I often wonder if I’m the only person in here that pays attention and has a memory.

He should just take another fight, hopefully win it, then talk shit about Conor and hope he takes the bait. Waiting around looks kind of pathetic at this point, especially after Conor saying "you'll do what you're told" to him on tv and humiliating him.

It can all fall apart though if he loses, and talking shit doesn't work for getting a Conor fight.

Conor knows he's the mega super A+ side. He knows he's blessing whoever it is that he decides to fight, if you piss him off, he just won't fight you.

It always sucks when the girl you always wanted seemed interested but doesn't want you anymore.
You just gotta move on man and find another girl.

Chandler should hold on to hope for as long as possible. This is a super-easy matchup against the corpse of the biggest star in the history of MMA.

There’s nothing else for him. He isn’t good enough to contend for a title, he’s getting old, what else is he going to do? Lose to Arman for a lot less money?

Actual quote of what DC said. Seems logical. I think his point is that Chandler shouldn't just throw his hands up and move on. He's not suggesting Chandler has any control over McGregor, though.

“I don’t know what Chandler can do to make him move quicker into USADA, to make him agree to the fight faster,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel. “I guess just kind of talking sh*t to him might help, but I don’t know if that’s going to be enough. Mike’s in a weird position. I spoke to him off the record today a little bit, just two text messages.

“He’s in a position where he’s just got to kind of wait and see, because that’s where he is. But my one bit of advice to him was don’t let the fight fall by the wayside. Do whatever you have to do in order to keep this fight together because this is a fight that can really make you at a level that no one else in the fight game can do.”
DC is a fucking moron, alright. If you don’t know that, I can’t help you.

Because talking shit to Conor is the worst possible advice ever. You can Google countless examples of it NOT working. And only one that did. Khabib.. because he was the Champion. And called out Conor before ever winning the belt.

Listen up, y'all.

Michael Chandler is a scary guy. He's like a nuclear weapon personified. When you fight him, you will inevitably eat a ton of bombs in the first round. And they'll continue to rain in the following rounds.

He's like a pit bull. Goes and goes and doesn't stop.

And the worst part? He doesn't have the best UFC record.

He's kinda like the Mark Hunt of the Lightweights.

Fighting Chandler is a lose-lose situation. It was an okay gamble for Poirier and Gaethje, because when they beat him, he was only building his UFC record and they were pushed up because he was a former title contender.

Now, he doesn't have much to offer in terms of going up in the ranks. And yeah, he's exciting, but only for us, the fans. Not for those who fight him. And he isn't even the biggest name Conor could fight.

I was initially surprised Conor accepted this match. But I'm not surprised at all he just used the UFC to promote himself, and that he never had the intention of fighting a dog like Chandler.

It's possible Conor was willing to fight him, but only with an exception. Getting a drug test exception has not worked out for Conor so far, but maybe Conor is confident he can get a USADA exception.

Conor gassed out shoving Chandler in that little sequence in the gym. He has no plans of fighting again.

Chandler's been doing a lot of social media lately, on his own Youtube channel and others. He's putting himself out there.

Which regardless is the correct approach. Either he does finally win over Conor because he grows himself to be popular enough, and if not he's worked on an alternative income stream all along which helps lessen the blow (or erases it) of having sat out waiting for Conor instead of fighting someone else.

Would have loved to see Chandler beat Conor but Dustin already disposed of what was left of him. I feel bad for him because he's wasted a lot of time in this and now the fight is in jeopardy.
