Michael Bisping thinks Conor McGregor deserves fighter of the year

Barely beating Nate Diaz and then beating Eddie Alvarez makes you fighter of the year? 'Lolwut'
he outclassed nate badly. then he moved up in weight to KO the champ in a weight class above his own to become the first ever double champ

Personal accolades that only apply to the fighters.

Hilarious watching folk squabble over it. I've no doubt if they did a submission of the year/best win of the year, it would go to Diaz, simply because of who it was against.

Technically he moved down in weight as his previous 2 fights had been at WW.

Also it's silly that Bisping going 3-0 with two of those wins coming well past their primes fighters that dropped him 3 times in 10 rounds. And Bisping lost 4 of those rounds easily and arguably lost 6 of those rounds. Just winning shouldn't be enough to be fighter of the year, it should also count in the manner you won and against the level of opposition you fought to get those wins.

Stipe easily had the best year and most impressive resume overall.

becoming champ in 2 diff divisions simultaneously deserves it

Neither of them deserve it. The fact that Bisping doesn't even think he deserves it says it all, though.

Stipe deserves it.

The fight was almost a draw you silly troll.
its clear in the first rounds who the more talented and skilled fighter is. being an ogre relying on the guy who is fighting above his weight class to gas doesnt mean youre better than him

I don't really care who you think is better between Nate and Conor. You don't win fighter of the year by getting strangled to death, winning a majority decision against that same guy, and then beating Eddie Alvarez lol.

lol yeah right...
169-167 in strikes, with 1 takedown for Nate.

If everyone got the same benefits as Mcgregor, we would have more 2 div champions.

Woodley would definitly beat Bisping, atleast he would be the favorite.
He would also dominate Mcgregor for the LW title, IF he can make the weight cut
But he would never get that benefit, Dana would forc him to fight the likes of Rockhold, Jacare first

Nate clearly has the edge of Mcgregor, 1 win and 1 draw
Yet Mcgregor got the benefit to jump the line (sorry Khabib your 25-0 is not enough)
