With all the bitching about there being nowhere for people to "freely" make & post vids, I wonder what sort of cost they're looking at. I don't even know how to ballpark that.

Ohhhhh, yeah. No way you're making a dent in the Alphabet empire with $10 million. Dailymotion is owned by Vivendi and the market share differential based on visits is absolutely disgusting. I give YouTube a lot of credit for making their platform accessible and largely unobtrusive to the average individual. They're not taking down fail vids, MGTOW are pretty low on the outrage hierarchy. To dethrone the king nowadays, you have to provide something that fundamentally can't be had on youtube. Some groups go extreme gore, others go sexual penetration. Maybe you cross over sometimes (as anyone who has ever watched the Bee Movie on a certain porn site can attest to).

Pretty sure even the major ones had to do that. As far as I know even if you're not demonetized ad money is peanuts now. Everyone earns money through brand partnerships and Patreon.

Yeah there's a really weird homosexual vibe in seemingly rejecting women altogether and banding only with other men... not that there's anything wrong with that, but a lot of the people in these groups are also homophobes so... how come?

I'm familiar with them cracking down more often on shit they don't deem advertiser friendly, but I had to idea wrasslin was hit by it. Is the "art" (for the lack of a better term) looked at unfavorably in the mainstream media? I know a lot of stuff previously found in it hasn't aged very well, but I honestly had no idea it had come under fire. That sounds odd.

They eventually reversed it with no explanation, but only after mass outrage. Some people think that it was the outrage that reversed their decision, others (like me) think that WWE pressed their hand considering that they're trying to do the whole "women's empowerment" thing on air and it hurt THEIR bottom line to be demonetized.
