I already explained why I reject their philosophy. They are failing at something that men and women have been doing successfully for eternity. And their response to failing at that something is to blame the women.

I've seen the Peterson video before. That one and the one with the woman get posted 2-3x every year. I mentioned the Peterson video, not for the content, but to mention something specific about the individual in it.

And real men do care what other people think. They care what their spouses think, what their children think, what their bosses or their employees think. They care what their parents think. They care if society holds them in positive esteem.

Only losers really don't care what anyone else thinks. Losers, psychopaths and sociopaths. It's unlikely that these guys are all clinically diagnosable so losers is the label for them.

Some of the resulting bitterness derives from their impotence of accomplishing such a feat, to attain complete individual sovereignty. Which is understandable because that has been the source of existential problems for many generations of men, not merely ours.

I think it is a matter of the media having painted a very sorry picture of the incel-types and linked them to various killings around the world. People who gain their perspective of the world largely from the mainstream media, are bound to hold such an opinion.

The thing is that MGTOW does not seem to consist so much of the "feared" 4chan incels, but more so bitter ex-husbands or ex-boyfriends. As well as just staunch individualists/egoists as well as "misogynists" who abhor marriage, or women in general.

The demographic is a little bit different, generally older and more "experienced".

While I contest the idea of achieving individual sovereignty through any sort of a social movement, be it MGTOW or whatever, I can certainly understand the impulse behind such a movement. And yes, I do also understand that any movement involving men, and their independence, is bound to have problems involved with it, potentially resulting in violence or radicalized language, due to people residing in an echo chamber.

If we haven't learned to live with it, and avoid the pit-falls of it, in the past thousands of years of civilization, we probably never will.

What they are struggling with is something that plenty of people, male and female struggle with. If they simply said that they are struggling with something and asked for patience, they would get it.But they don't. They are projecting their struggles externally.
