If those in government were smart, they'd be monopolizing the sales through big Pharma. I think that would really take a bite out of cartels.

So if we legalize drugs and tax them it would be fine for those few that can use every now and then and lead normal productive life’s. They could use pay the increased cost due to tax and getting from a company.

See states that made weed legal and people here still going to their dealers because it’s cheaper.

What do you think drug companies would charge for drugs compared to black market dealers. So it would still be the same thing we have now and Mexico would still have the drug gangs.

So nothing would really change unless you expect the government to give drugs to anyone that wants them and provide them free housing and everything else they need while they stay fucked up their whole life’s.
