Merab should’ve been fighting O’Malley tonight, he was already the #1 contender for dominating Yan, there was no reason for him to need to beat Cejudo too. Sean ducking him to fight Chito is an embarrassment to the sport at MMA, and I’d say this officially demotes O’Malley to interim champ until he fights Merab.

Guy is super smothering and relentless, but really doesn't finish fights. Dominant, but not the most exciting to watch, outside of appreciation of his cardio and ability to blanket folks.

I actually love his energy and spirit tbh, but his fights are like Groundhog day.

There are two ways. Either the UFC doesn't offer him s shot, or they do offer him a shot but O'Malley doesn't accept the fight and they move on.

What would they exactly be rigging? There isn't a real system in place that determines who gets the shot.
