Merab dominated this one with bit of kissing the opponent.
The kissing was unnecessary

that’s an extremely impressive run, can’t lie. it’s just the way he fights seems kinda cheap sometimes. like when he shoots a bunch of takedowns, most of which are stuffed, but then just shoots more. basically his cardio wins fights. fair play to him, i guess. The guy is far from beloved and has a ton of critics but has dominated the best Bantamweights; and never seemed to be in any danger. Clearly under-rated and lots of ATers thought Sean was going to catch him. Like Cejudo, Yan and Aldo...O'Malley was beat badly...with relative ease. Love him or hate him, Merab will be tough to beat. Father time might catch him, he is getting old, but no one on the immediate horizon poses much of a threat.
This is an impressive run - one of the best in Bantamweight history:

Umar vs Merab will be fire... Then everyone will be going crazy about whoever wins that..
Im glad the pink hair era is one and done...maybe now O'malley can eat like an adult and move up to WW or LW or something ...
Dude was extremely one dimensional and had no answers for an opponent who was only going to fight one way....
I didnt find the fight boring at all...it was just very clear O'malley had nothing to offer Merab...
Clear dominant victory...
DJ is the goat but that didnt save him from getting the boot. UFC is an entertainment business and there is nothing entertaining about a wrestler who has no intention of finishing his opponent.

Some hard truths the poodle lovers won't swallowO'Malley knew exactly what Murab's gameplan would be, and Murab knew exactly what O'Malley's gameplan would be. Murab utterly dominated O´Malley, while O´malley couldn't get anything going whatsoever other than some body kicks in the 5th.
So there are some possibilites: Either Sean didn't prep for Murab's grappling and instead relied on his striking alone (in which case he and his team are retarded), or he did plan for Murab's grappling and had no answers. Either way, not a good look Sean at all.
Merab only beat two great fighters in their prime. Cruz has done that to say the least. He has better wins that overrated Cruz. BTW GOAT right now.
Only one who can surpass him is Umar Nurmagomedov if he beats him and goes on to defend a couple of times vs top contenders
Cruz best win is TJ DillasnakeMerab only beat two great fighters in their prime. Cruz has done that to say the least.
DJ? DJ was entertaining as fuck what are you talking about. It's like you wasn't even around when he fought. You wasn't huh?
I think a better comparison is Randy vs Vera. Yeah, Randy probably deserved the win on paper, but he didn't look good doing it and a more bloodthirsty set of judges could have easily seen it the other way.Tibau arguably beat Khabib.
Aldo did not arguably win that fight.
Saying "FLWs" is a nice way of writing off that he beat DJ. DJ at 135 is still a championship level fighter.Cruz best win is TJ Dillasnake
He beat a bunch of jabronis, FLWs and Urijah Faber.
Merab beat Petr Yan, Aldo and Suga Shin.Saying "FLWs" is a nice way of writing off that he beat DJ. DJ at 135 is still a championship level fighter.
Urijah Faber is one of the best lighter weight fighters of all time.
I dont get how Merab already has a better resume. One of his best wins is Cejudo, who is worse than DJ.
You can just as easily say Merab has only beaten two "real" BWs and jabronis.
