Did not for one second, did anyone ask where's Schmitty?
You could have put Omalley in there with Sandhagen or someone like Aldo and rebuilt him with a winnable fight.Sheesh. Outside of this just being a dumb move, if O'Malley loses this there is a good chance he never recovers. I'm not even a fan of this goofball but this is just not a good move.
This is basically the argument everyone is making or needs to make about the current state of the sport MMA and the UFC. The best fights aren't always the best fights if they make little to no sense and can potentially ruin one's career in this what have you done for me lately sport. You could have put Omalley in there with Sandhagen or someone like Aldo and rebuilt him with a winnable fight.
If he gets wrestle f'd again he will go full time streamer.
Should have been Yan, whilst Omalley rebuilt. Yan has wins over 4,5,6 and should have a win against Omalley in 1. Only other match up for him is Umar, but Umar should go back and fight someone lower after skipping the division. Umar just needed some more 5 round experience and 2-3 more fights against ranked guys.
Yes Merab beat Yan, but Yan was atleast able to defend takedowns unlike everyone else in the division and has 2 great wins since that fight.
I have no interest atm. I never use to miss cards. It's boring AF and I think not even a mcgreho return can save Ufc. Alex loss is the ultimate nail in the coffinI agree with you, the most boring and lame champions we have had in a very long time, so many constant rematches as well in title fights.
Corruption. Why? Why? What warranted this? Like at all? Seriously wtf?
I assume if O'Malley wins we get another rematch, Merab vs O'Malley 3.And what happens if Omalley wins? O'malley vs Vera 3 or does Dom Cruz get a title shot?
I even forgot he existed until you just reminded me lol.i saw Bautista mentioned earlier in the thread
this just proves the point that I and many others made after the Aldo fight.
guy has a 7 win streak currently. but he was so fucking dull in his last fight with Aldo. he wall-n-stalled for a questionable split decision. who the hell wants to see him fight for a belt? not me, thats for sure.
No chance they let Merab near Omalley if he pulls it off. They ran Aljo a multi time defending champ out of the division and skipped Merab for Vera initially.I assume if O'Malley wins we get another rematch, Merab vs O'Malley 3.
winning isnt the only thing that matters, which is what he was trying to claim in the post-fight conference.I even forgot he existed until you just reminded me lol.
He didn't do himself any favors in that fight. He would have been better off losing a slugfest.
That's a good point. Although is O'Malley really that marketable? I wish we had PPV sales like we used to.No chance they let Merab near Omalley if he pulls it off. They ran Aljo a multi time defending champ out of the division and skipped Merab for Vera initially.
They will probably bring Moutinho back in.
