What did happen to all of the bugs?

Urban development and agricultural poisons, although the media will try and tell you that it's because of climate change.

Where I'm at in upstate NY, there's bugs galore. Last summer was particularly wet, and the insects were fucking horrific.

They're only declining in specific regions. It's a decline relative to where the two above factors I cited are taking place. In some regions insects are actually multiplying at alarming rates.
