Meh. Same as couple of episodes of a show. I had in on in the background while doing other things.

He is right though. Young writers have put their messaging over their stories. So many movies now don't put stories first and the industry is dying because of it. Theaters are dying. Studios are losing billions and billions. We went from 600 shows a year to < 300. People in the industry are losing their homes and having to find new careers. People are tired of bullshit in their storytelling and aren't supporting it.

I understand him getting stale and agree, but I am glad to have him fighting the culture war.

It's just the same arguments have been made throughout the history of film.
