He is right though. Young writers have put their messaging over their stories. So many movies now don't put stories first and the industry is dying because of it. Theaters are dying. Studios are losing billions and billions. We went from 600 shows a year to < 300. People in the industry are losing their homes and having to find new careers. People are tired of bullshit in their storytelling and aren't supporting it.

I understand him getting stale and agree, but I am glad to have him fighting the culture war.

I don't know if this is true, great artists push the boundaries of what is considered 'tasteful', and the ones that do it best are often super-fringe ad infinitum.

I look at Throbbing Gristle and find their shit super problematic, but respect it.

But I have to admit, I'm bored to fuck already of "Juliet can be completely contrary to what you think" bollocks.

Yeah, she can be, but who cares, and is it necessary?

I'm almost siding against that crap now because it's just not interesting or relevant.
