Yeah you're totally right, violence today is way worse than previous decades. Back then the violence was saved for after school when it was dark and they had robes on with pointy hats.

Fairly confident robes and pointy hats weren't doing much of anything in the 80s and 90s.

But I agree most Americans are way less prone to getting in trouble post internet age. Whacky and biased posted though.

You're a confused lad. That photo was from 1947

I'm talking about your chart. And your chart makes you look bad since the homicide rate is way down in the 1940s too.
Yeah you're clearly a disabled person lmao; my post was in response to someone claiming current rates of violence were high spikes due to societal decay. The 30s and 40s had low murder rates because most people in that demographic were sent overseas to shoot other country's people. Modern rates are comparable while not relying on skews of war.
I wish your synapses good fortune in future processes that have bearing on your ability to feed and house yourself/

Well, your post is a bit of self ownage my bradda…that pic in my meme is circa 1947 from a school in NYC where my grandmother was a teacher at the time. Back then you could order a full auto machine gun for $50 from a mail order catalog with no I.D. or background checks, yet zero school massacres, and overall historic lows for violent crimes. (No pointy hats in NYC either)

In fact my gramps was a NYPD beat cop in Harlem for 20 years and never drew his service pistol even once.

What would you suggest be the catalyst of the recent school massacres? Surely not firearms since unilateral access in the past produced zero.

Wow cool show and tell story bro; really proves how pwned I am and how intelligent and correct you are about basic statistics of violence and populations on the aggregate.
You're totally right; definitely no school shootings or youth violence happened in the past. And the populations of America are the same today too; good job on the big boy thinking; you should become a professor of anecdotal analysis!

I'm actually related through my great uncle to a former NYC mayor and oversaw your gramps corrupt force :)

Follow the bouncing ball instead of mocking me.
What would you suggest is the underlying cause of school shootings?

My meme centered on school shootings and the historical inverse correlation between access to firearms for minors and school massacres.

lol @ trying to pull the concept of inverse correlation out of your ass and pretend that's what the meme was claiming.
In the 1940s the population of teenagers was:
-much smaller (I know it's a crazy idea, but there's more total people existing today than in the past. I'll try to find a source, but not sure I'm smart enough)
-those 17+ were being conscripted
-teenagers were not enrolled in school at nearly such a high rate. Can't shoot up a school if you don't attend any lol.
-culture warriors couldn't sit around in the 40s and stroke themselves into a hyperbolic fervor to every incident across the globe without instantaneous media

It's seriously comical to watch some rocking chair dude zero conception of statistics or inflation talk about $50 in the 1940s and having to mail order guns with cheques as "easy access" for kids to buy firearms, when that's about $700 of today's money and $50 in the 1940s was 1-2 MONTHS RENT IN NYC FOR A FAMILY and few people had cars or access to info/munitions/internet etc...
