No one was looking for congratulations from you. That post was to address that goofy argument about kids growing up, decades ago, with little to no representation.

I dunno what soft, weird black guy you talk to, but there was a lot of representation for kids growing up in the 80s/90s and even if there wasn't, black kids had no problem getting excited for shows that was predominantly white. We were able to enjoy good shows without being hyper-focused on race. So save that "have some empathy" garbage.

you lost me at soft black Detroiters.

anyway, enjoy the meme thread.

I never cared what colour of skin the characters were. There has been strong black representation for some time, but the west is more diverse in the current year, so it makes sense for more diversity in casting. However, the problem with so much representation in media these days is it being implemented as a marketing gimmick, or some empty virtue signal at the expense of the story/character arc.

One of my fav characters is Ben Sisko (Star Trek Captain mid to late 90's). Avery Brooks can be a bit of an over actor at times, but the dude has passion. His role was never about the colour of skin, except one relevant episode where he went back in time. Here's his perfect take on it.

Compare that with the Obi-Wan abomination and the terrible Reva character. I don't know if she's a good actress or not, but she had no help from the terrible script.

Great points, thanks for the. Idea of Avery. I can definitely buy the point of basically painting a “representational” character into a corner, leaving them with little to no character development.

I want to check out Vivek Ramaswamy‘s book “Woke, Inc.: Inside corporate America's Social Justice Scam” which details how the Movement and corporations are feeding off each other thereby making record profits. All while dismissing criticisms as racist, sexist, etc.

And yeah, Reva fucking sucks. No, she is not a good actor. At all.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has a biological chip that has been FDA approved to ensure compliance in pill swallowing.
I think you would be surprised by the amount of chips getting put into people. Have a family member who worked in drug treatment, and he would implant chips in their feet.

Mind you, its all voluntary, and the chips are harmless.
