Oh, I'm sure. I was just saying that there's no culture wars back at home. There's no crime, no diversity, no multiculturalism, no wokeness. It's rural white folks of Northern Euro descent carrying on their generational legacy. Canada would suddenly have an actual right-wing with a notable uptake of Christian religiosity. People are serious about the right to bear arms, as in permitless constitutional carry and (at minimum) owning any semi-auto "assault rifle" we damn well please. They are serious about the pro-life stance, as in straight up abortion bans save for the most extreme cases of incest, rape, etc. This shit is actual policy in the upper midwest, the deep south is NOT the only right-wing region of America. But yeah, categorization within the petroleum industry gets sort of arguable and murky. However, there is no doubt that upstream drilling exploration is clear-cut primary sector business, it's the extraction of raw materials and natural resources. It is there along with agriculture, fishing, forestry and mining. And on that note in lieu of an actual meme here is the biggest fucking duh infographic I've probably ever posted.

I wouldn't say livestock ranching is "foreign" but Red River Valley is primetime cropland and pretty close to a sole focus farming endeavor so I actually wasn't really around it much. I've been watching Cole Sonne's channel for a while now and it seems like total chaos, a complete bitch especially running a parallel farming op albeit highly entertaining to an outside observer.
