Well due to that new rule and the very shady wasy it was put in place with no explanation or rational as to why, in the last 24 hours I went from someone who would go out of the way to not get banned to honestly not giving a shit if I was.

I am quite certain if you look at the 5 newest mods one or more of them are the root cause.

Imagine cracking down more on saying the word groomer than those actually supporting the act itself.

This isn't a Reddit tier rule it's a Tumblr tier one, which is even worse.

Cint became a mod?

I asked this in the last thread, and nobody seemed to know why the hoodied twink character isn't featured in more memes? He's a lot more likeable and sympathetic than any of the greasy, gross-looking soyjacks. He just looks sad.

He should be on (at?) Nordic Man's side IMO.

How do you create those?

First of all there are some absolute solid folks in here and I appreciate that a lot! You know who you are... Not only because of the (daily) memes and some really interesting stuff that gets posted. We probably all agree on that and got each others back on this site!

The mod that gave me yellows sent me a DM saying...

'It's a forbidden word. Don't post it. I'll leave it like that.'

And accusations of said words are now auto infractions , across the site'

Who is that mod?? That shit should be addressed and called out! At least drop the "Meme Mailing List" a DM on that pls. We should know who we are dealing with.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Calling for violence?

Yeah, that crosses a line.

Got to think of it from the mods perspective. If calling for violence against one group is bad, and calling for violence against another group is good, what about the rule against calling for violence?

Violence/Genocide- Do not condone violence or genocide on a person or group of people. You are free to attack a person or groups ideas but you are crossing the line when calling for violence. This will be heavily enforced in threads with breaking news involving victims. If you choose to celebrate the victims injuries and/or deaths or suggest they deserved what happened to them, you will likely get infractions.
I mean “I understand attacking people who did that” has gotten me carded. Just alluding to it seems to cross the line with the mods

No. I'm not posting the mod's name.

I've done a pretty shitty job of being cordial in my attempts to fully explain by absolute disgust about the situation.

Despite by rage, I'm actually NOT trying to get banned but if it happens so be it. This is worth standing for on two fronts.

*Banning the use of words required of a specific discussion is effectively banning that entire discussion... on the same day that Reddit & Twitter banned them.

(Which leads me to believe this was a top-down decision, and the mods are enforcing it, which doesn't absolve them but if I start calling them out be name all mutual respect by long-standing reputation will be lost.)

*Giving infractions to accounts based on rules that aren't posted publicly, and therefore not known, discussed, or properly understood. It'll set the president that any rule can be made at any to ban any words and discussions.

Anyone else 'member back in the late 2000s that 'Teabagger' was a common slur? Or in 2015 & 2016 'Cuck' was hurled in heated arguments?

I 'member. And no rule or was added for them.

But now a rule has been added at the same time Reddit and Twitter adds it, because the LGBTQ lobby wants to avoid all criticism by claiming the word 'Gr***er' is being used to deface all of them.

The real reason they hate being called gr***ers is.... because they're gr***ers, either directly, indirectly, or not publicly disavowing the gr***ers in their ranks.

But they won't do that 3rd option, obviously, because its far easier to censor those who rightfully point out they're gr***ers.

None of you glorious bastards are to get yourselves banned, None.

I cannot comment on the current process, It's been about a year since I was involved in anything related to moderation on this site. But I can tell you when I was the word p e d o was dealt with the way it was for two reasons. First, calling someone that would constitute flaming and would be a violation for the sub-forum. More importantly it was about the frequency in which it was used causing the site to show up in google analytics related to that term. I would hazard a guess the reasoning is similar here.

When I modded I considered the meme threads to be my own little slice of sherdog, we (the community) governed in as democratic a way as possible. Through or team effort we kept things from being reported, sadly that doesn't seem to be the case any longer. That doesn't change the fact that you guys still put in incredible work, and it is a loss to the site any time one of you gets banned. So please conduct yourselves within the ruleset.

Meme on memesters.
