*** 'McGregor Forever' - Netflix Documentary Discussion Mega Thread ***

It's actually a woman who can decide when Khabib is done.
true, his mother was involved. but ultimately the choice is his.
What the fuck are you talking about?
  • His mom asked him not to fight again and he went and fought Justin instead
  • His dad asked him to get to 30-0 and retire then and he retired at 29-0 instead once his dad was no longer around
The guy did whatever the fuck he wanted, including retiring when he did, and it's the weirdest thing how you guys accept the bullshit propaganda he tells you to instead of just looking at his actions to determine his thoughts and motives.

The guy laughs behind his back every time he tells you the most absurd things and you believe him.
and how does this in any way contradict what i said? i said only Khabib knows when he is done. thats what youre saying too, except with more whining and butthurt. did you even read my post or were you so eager to try to get a "gotcha" moment that you just spewed out a bunch of nonsense?

2016 Conor would have given him a better fight.

No he wouldn't have. In 2016 Conor had several less years of grappling training. Conor was systematically taken down by Mendes, who is a lot smaller and lesser of a grappler than Khabib. He was taken down by Diaz, who has never had great takedowns, and submitted inside a minute. You talk as if years of training don't make a difference to one's skills.

Conor cheated multiple times in his fight with Khabib to prevent the takedown and losing position. And he was still absolutely destroyed and dominated. He would have gotten destroyed even worse had he not cheated.

The guy retired because his father and lifelong coach passed away and his mother asked him to quit. Just because it makes you mad doesn’t mean it’s propaganda lmao

Like the majority of Khabib haters it’s likely that you’re just upset because you never got to see Khabib lose

A truth pill for ya'll.

Conor stopping Aldo like he did is far more impressive than a 1-dimensional panic wrestler (who nearly died making weight a few times) spamming TDs vs a guy with basically no grappling or cardio.

It is what it is boys. I'm not a Conor fan (these days) but it is what it is.
"i'M nOt A cOnOr fAn" then goes on to make excuses like as if Conor never prepared for Khabib' Sambo. Lol @ panic wrestler, maybe you forgot he tried that with Nate and got choked out like a can and also tried with Dustin and got KTFO for it.

Conrat called Dana White. He begged him to give Khabib more money to not retire.
‘Let’s see what happens.’

Conrat is so disappointed that Khabib didn’t give him the opportunity to have 3 million ppv buys.
Let’s be real. Conrat is more frustrated that he can’t get his biggest payday.
That’s why he hates Khabib. He is used to get everyting he wants. Khabib stopped this.

Conrat is not afraid of fighting Khabib. Even though I don’t like Conrat. He is not scared to ‘fight’.
Conrat knows he can give his neck to be chocked out to save him from a terrible beating. That’s the mindset he goes into a fight.

Made him the richest MMA fighter of all time tho.

He knows it's only a business.

This was before “ya wife is in ma DMs”

Sure and begorrah, his foot was severed at the ankle, but Kav, bless his soul, stuck it back on like a wee Lego piece, he did. Mind over matter, ye know. Ye've got to be visualizin' yer leg and foot as separate pieces, and then ye merge 'em together, just like that, ye see. Ah, but he took a fair bit o' damage from them inhuman abilities, for sure, for he's naught but a mortal man, after all. But still, he faced Khabib with but a single leg, he did. If only he'd been visualizin' his neck not bein' attached to that wee little bitch who tapped to a neck crank, now wouldn't that be a sight to behold!

If you've ever broken your foot/ankle/toes pyu know that it heals quickly even if they are completely dislocated so 3 weeks or even 3 days you can start working out again carefully.

Nice try Netflix marketing team. I don't care enough about Conor's foot to watch this cringe documentary.

It was actually a good thing for McGregor. He didn't have to suffer the embarrassment of losing to him again.

2016 Conor would have given him a better fight.
2016 conor would have been subbed in first round.
Mendes took him down at will....Khabib would have torn him to shreds. Conor's TDD vastly improved between the Mendes / Alvarez fights alone.

Not knocking Mendes. He's a great fighter. Just saying, Khabib would have been way more effective just because he's the best grappler this sport has ever seen.

I don’t consider that to be a great achievement. I don’t value if someone gets paid a lot. It doesn’t give me anything.
it’s great for him that he earned that much money. I don’t believe he is more happy now than he was. I don’t think money did him good. Money is in his head and not in his hand to do good things.
That’s why he was so frustrated that Khabib never gave him the opportunity for a rematch. His number one reason is money. That would have broken their fight. He would have earned his best payday in his mma career. That hurts. In his mind he never has enough. Money is in his mind.
His whole persona is created on this.
he has always to act and be an actor. He can never be himself. Always trying to play the successful businessman and trying to act confidence. Always having to act and put a mask on. It gives a lot of stress.
that’s why is using drugs. Money is in his head.
