pain is pain, i mentioned Sugar Ray and Ali's occasions of bending over or grunting. Not being in floyd's shoes, I don't know how bad it hurt, I've been bit by that woman i mentioned and by a dog, i didn't make any sound like floyd did, with the woman i made no sound with the dog I yelled 'hey" as soon as i felt his teeth and he stopped almost before he started, both situations were with skin broken but neither were on the extremities where we humans would feel the most pain.A guy I know met Evander once and said he he could see there's a little bit of his ear missing.
I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd played it up, Floyd knew how to play the game well, but a bunch of dudes on the internet who have never competed in any sport, much less boxing, at that elite level calling a modern great a pussy is hilarious. For all his flaws, Floyd being "weak" isn't one of them.
I once had the inner seam of the glove go under my finger nail when I landed a punch during sparring. Thought my finger nail was going to get ripped off. It hurt a lot especially because it's just not the kind of pain you'd expect during boxing. I had to stop the session to tape my finger up and continued sparring but I guess I'm a pussy.
Indeed Evander will always be missing a chunk out of his ear, he used to tell people he had no plans to have it repaired and to be truthful, as far as nerves? cartilage has no nerves so any pain Evander felt was on the skin portion and not the actual cartilage. Also, his ears still don't look worse than the old cauliflower ears.
