Mayhem Vs SWAT

Rampage was trying to reach out to him on twitter. It would have been awesome to see rampage pull up in the A team van to pick up mayhem for a quick getaway. Lol

Dude wtf. This man with a gas tank honestly beats bisping and now he's this.

Fuck it

Guns used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year -- or about 6,850 times a day. This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives. - The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Northwestern University School of Law

There are similar statistics from the DOJ and FBI so yes it a statsitcal fact that guns are a detterence and prevent crime. Of course they would that is just basic common sense, that someone with the ability to legally protect themselves from crime with firearm ownership can and will. Gunownership will greatly expediate self-defense and protection of property. Only slaves are disarmed.

The media has an agenda and is totally biased, see John Lott for how many stories are buried involving gun crime vs crimes stopped by gun ownership it is something like 2,000 to 1. The media is very centralized and 96% of the content is controlled by 6 people who have very strong ideologies, murdock, rothstein, esiner, etc.

I never said arming everyone wouldn't deter crime. I am more concerned with how much it escalates accidental shootings or overuse of force. And I was more concerned with how often a gun has been used in self-defense to prevent a life-threatening situation from someone else that had a gun. Not every time someone pulls their gun on an unarmed trespasser and claims guns were used in self-defense. You would have to provide a lot more details than something as broad as saying guns were used in self-defense. used how? By simply showing them? Was it necessary to shoot them? Was the other guy shot? Did the other guy have a gun? Etc

Do media conglomerates have their own agendas? Sure. I am not sure that home owners shooting home invaders would be kept out of the news though although i could be wrong. I have seen newspapers and media sensationalize any black on white crime they can to stir racial tensions and i think the people at top have a real concern of keeping the status quo and don't like the idea of the 95% of the population that only controls 5% of the wealth all having guns. But I still need somethign more specific than you gave.

But like I said, my main point was I don't care really what people have in their homes as long as they don't use unnecessary lethal force over stupid, tiny misdemeanors or lost travelers. We have degrees of criminal charges in this country because toilet papering a house shouldn't get the death penalty. And why so many people need carry permits or automatic weapons is something i don't get. The Constitutional amendment that allows guns is not applicable today when it took 90 seconds to get off a single shot and today's military would wipe out any threat. But I do think guns should be legal for people's homes. I see little reason for so many people carrying and think open carry laws are absurd. I can't even imagine owning a store and having to go through each day tensing up and grabbing the gun under the counter because of how many people walk in with a visible gun showing. And its a huge reason they try to keep who is an Air Marshall on a plane secret because if you know who has a gun you also know who you might be able to take a gun from. This isn't the wild west. There is no reason people need to be walking around with visible guns. How we even got back to that point is beyond me or why people fight things like a 3-day waiting period. If someone needs a gun that badly that quickly that is a huge red flag imo

Have guns for home protection and hunting. Have concealed carry-permits if you have a legitimate reason to need one in public. And nobody needs automatic weapons. Those are my feelings anyway

This incoherent response only serves to illustrate your utter lack on ignorance of actual crime statistics, gun ownership and gun use, constitutional law, gun control laws, and the slew of recent supreme court cases dealing reassuring the rights of individual citizens to not only own firearms, but to practice concealed carry and the inability of local governments to pass arbitrary bans of certain classes of firearms.

For one thing you mention people owning machine guns when a fully automatic firearm will run you anywhere between $20,000-100,000 and can only be purchased and transferred through federally licensed class III firearms dealers. If you get 1 shooting by a guy with a legally purchased fully automatic weapon in 20 years it would be surprising. Millionaires don't go off killing people with their $60,000 toys that often.

The case of D.C. v Heller heard in 2008 not only unequivocally confirmed the individual right to firearm ownership in all jurisdictions in the United States is also opened the door to challenging arbitrary bans on things like handgun ownership in cities like DC and Chicago with every ban challenged in the last 6 years being struck down.

Weapons like AR-15s, AKs, aka the big scary guns are responsible for far less than two percent of all gun crime in this nation. At least 75% of shootings are committed using handguns while approx 9-10% are committed using grand pappy's shotgun or a old hunting rifle ~10% of cases the type of gun is unknown in which case it is again most likely a handgun because ti is hard to hide a shotgun or .306 in your pants.

People carry concealed for many hundreds of reasons some of the most common. They may hold a job that requires them to transport large sums of cash from say their place of work to a local bank these types of people are vulnerable to targeting and attack. Some people must travel through dangerous areas or neighborhoods to get to their place of work, child's school, etc in places like New Orleans you can be shot just because you drove your car onto the wrong street. They may be a person of political, economic, or cultural significance and are at risk of targeting many athletes, politicians, and businessmen will carry and you will never know. The most important reason why conceal carry is allowed is because the SCOTUS deems is a constitutional right protected under the second amendment and just like handgun bans cities and states with concealed carry bans or restrictions have recently been taken to court and have lost every case.

The 2nd amendment is as valid in today's society as it was in 1789 just like the freedom of speech and the right to due process under the court of law. The constitution does not change according to the popular whim of the times if such was a case every Japanese american would still be in concentration camps from WW2 and every Muslim american would have been locked up in gitmo after 9/11. Our political leadership is infamous for violating peoples rights in times of war and crises and the only thing to hold them accountable is a 230 year old document that you deem as unnecessary in a world where our rights to life, privacy, and freedom of expression are being encroached upon ever more frequently.

In the entire history of the United States 1 constitutional amendment was repealed and that amendment was not some 200 year old line of law the people thought antiquated. It was an attempt to restrict the freedoms of the american people through the prohibition of an item deemed dangerous in the hands of the public by politicians.

Also the sole reason you have the right to own a firearm is because it is defined as a personal right in the constitution. It has nothing to do with self-defense or hunting those are just legislated as legal uses of ones firearm under the proper conditions. If hunting has outlawed tomorrow it would have no impact upon ones ability to own firearms

He needs to get therapy and get a job working at 7-11 or something. His antics are just sad.

Man, Mayhem really went off the deep end sad to see. This dude has some serious mental problems he needs to figure out and get some help as soon as possible.

It was his insanity that made him mayhem and made us all interested.

what was the story behind this ? what did he do ?

He had missed a court date, and got himself a bunch of warrants put out on him. When the cops showed up to arrest him, he bolted back inside and the action started.

I liked Mayhem many many years ago, well before any arrests or anything and over the years between interviews etc. I started to really dislike the type of person he seemed to be.Toward the end there (a few years ago) he just flat out bothered me.It's sad to see how his life has turned out and it's surprising it's this bad but he asks for trouble and deserves all this shit.He ruined his life and is now a "poor me".Oh well, hopefully he can get some help but he'll need to change himself too,not sure that's going to happen.
