She's a warrior in the cage but she's been through a lot and more emotionally labile. That has an effect on physical health and confidence. In this game, that is a weakness.

i guess ive been watching MMA for a long time. i saw his season of TUF about 3-4 years after it happened.
 
Honestly for me this is a situation where the less said the better. I know Maycee is trying to save face and yeah it's her career and future on the line

But for me I dont already care anymore. The week is almost half way over. There's a "event" nearly every weekend and now im thinking of 316.

For me what Maycee can do is cool off and fight another day if thats what she wants. All this damage control is a bit frustrating to see

There was no “medical emergency”. Which is what she claims. There literally was no seizure. And she can’t remember shit?

I’m a bit pissed off.

In real time in the pbp, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I’m not a sucker, but I try to be fair. I don’t really jump to conclusions when I first hear/see something. I’ve always been about “fighter safety”.

So that was her freebie from me.

But watching the video almost made me puke. I couldn’t get through more than a couple minutes of that bullshit.

I can’t see how that didn’t do her reputation harm?

But, the hoi polloi don’t even know who she is. Amongst the mma community. Her name is Mudd, now.

Dr Samuel Mudd, treated John Wilkes Booth, for the broken leg he suffered. In the act of assassinating Pres. Abraham Lincoln April 15, 1865 (He was actually shot on the 14th). At Ford’s Theatre in Washington City (Washington DC).

Mudd was sentenced to life in prison. As if he was an actual conspirator in the murder of Lincoln. But Pres. Johnson pardoned him in 1869.

But after that..

“His name was MUDD”.

I’ve been to Ford’s Theatre for a December performance of Dickens.. A Christmas Carol.

There’s a museum in the basement. They have the actual weapon on display. A .44 one shot Derringer pistol. Booth dropped it on the floor after shooting Lincoln.

We sat in the box directly opposite of the Presidential Box.

It was kind of surreal. I’ve had experiences like that at a few Civil War battlefields, or places of importance during the war.

Look I hope she makes a full recovery. In her opinion she said it wasn't the weight cut that she has done bigger cuts before.

I personally think it was the weight cut + side effects when she was sick with that virus. I am sure she is trying to defend her position for her career and standing with the UFC.

She needs to take time off. That whole ordeal was a shit show.

No one know doctors can’t figure it out. She has some mysterious illness and they are sensing specialists to try and solve it

My point is fighters like Maycee pretty clearly aren't considering the impact of severe weight cuts on their health, and that's not going to change if you make them weigh in the same day as the fight.

In all seriousness, being pressured and browbeaten into NOT doing those two things* ever again by society has led to...more angry, miserable and utterly directionless women than ever before. I can't imagine why...

*Being loving wives to all males obviously, not just fighters.
