For the last 3yrs I've slept on the cheapest foam mattress I found on Ikea. It was the hardest and best for me so I can't complain. Paid like max 250€ for it and I'm still a ok with it.

Related to mattress, I recently used a new Target bedsheet for the first time. Don't know what material, but feels like suede, tiny bit fuzzy. Too much friction to allow smooth tossing and turning. Immediately washed the old sheet and put that back on.

Anyone enjoying good books lately?

I’m reading Phenomena by Annie Jacobsen. It’s about the U.S. government’s investigations into extrasensory perception and psychokinesis. I’m reading it slowly, usually a chapter then think on and discuss for a while.

Not far to go and then I’ll start reading Devil In White City, about murders in Chicago in the early 20th Century around the time of the World’s Fair.

Often reading other things like comic books and books on musicians.

I just bought a $450 King Novafoam mattress from Costco for a guest room, and I am shocked at how nice it is. It is very comfortable. I bought it from Costco because they have a generous return policy, in case it sucked. I was looking at one 2 to 3 times the price, but an employee there told me a bunch of employees had bought the Novafoam and all love them

California king is actually smaller in overall dimensions than a king.
It’s a bit longer and narrower than a standard king.
Right, a regular king my dn feet hang off the end. Plenty wife though so I prefer the Cal version.

Buy one of the foam ones that expand when you open the box.

Tell Amazon you followed the instructions and it didn’t expand all the way. They will then refund your money.

Have a gigantic bed with his and hers mattresses, European size so measuring up is going to be a nightmare but I do feel like we need new ones. They're 12 years old now. I'll wait till we move, might buy a new bed entirely which will be a few grand but worth it considering how little sleep I get normally.

The foam ones are fine. There are no real issue with it. I wouldn't get an all foam one though. It tends to get really soft and sink. The one that is a hybrid spring and foam is ideal for me. Also try to buy one with a cooling top. How much do you weigh? If you are really light then hard or medium might be too much for you. If you are heavy like 250 lbs and up then medium might be on the softer side.

Also what is your budget? The foam ones tend to allow a trial period. You can revac and send back if you don't like it.

see thats funny too. u can send it back!
revacing is super easy?

Went to the gym after work last night and man... a near empty gym is just so calming

I'll stick to my 10am workouts on my days off but that 6pm Sunday workout is going to be nice.. set the mood for the whole week

Everyone's thrown the towel in after dry January.

Oh yea it also depends what type of sleeper you are. Certain foam beds aren't good for certain types of sleepers. I went Brooklyn Bedding but they are known for really firm beds. I like the feeling that I am floating on the mattress rather than sinking in it.
