A California roll is probably not sushi it is imitation crab meat paste or imitation crab meat slices if you are fancy, cucumber , avocado and rice.

I think we've all been so conditioned to accept the imitation crab meat as normal many of us would probably find it offputting to have actual crab in a California roll.
