Mayberry Chat Thread V5: Dogs are the best

my little brother and sister are big anime heads, so I agreed to watch a few. Going to try out Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Not sure where to post this, but figured it'll at least be interesting. @Peteyandjia tried to get me into a few a decade back, maybe this will land more.

So I’ve found myself feeling a little lonely while working from home lately, basically since my Dad passed away in early July. So I went and bought myself a companion for my office. This is Glowy (my kids named him), an Axolotl with GFP so he fluoresces in black light:

There's a anime/manga thread in the mayberry. Both are good choices especially FMA: Brotherhood. Let me know if you need other suggestions later.

I’m not a fan of anime but cowboy bebop was great. Space cowboy noir

So I'm starting a new vinyl collection... mostly for display as we've bought 24 12x12 frames.

Just made an account on discogs since I found a picture disc of Inxs Kick for a decent price shipped.

Any of you use that site or collect vinyl in general?

Yes and yes, discogs is my go to for everything music related, that and whosampled

Great place to buy vinyl as well

yeah, my brother suggested this one as well. He used to run anime conventions and do all the dress up stuff.

I've seen a few series a long time ago - Death Note, Monster. But, more or less the only anime I've really liked was Akira and to a much lesser extent - Ghost in the Shell. That's why my brother suggested Cyberpunk Edgreunners.

The problem I run into is that there are so many live action things I want to finish and watch across all the streaming platforms, that I have to be fairly selective about what I watch because I have a big backlog to get to. Were it not for that, I'd dive right in.

I've been to three record shops here and found some good records. There are two in a neighborhood I'm going to on Saturday that I'm going to hit up. I forgot how much I miss digging through bins trying to find gems.

Yeah man, I've come close to divorce many times because I've found a record shop on our travels. I do more digital digging these days but I'll always be a crate digger at heart.

What covers you thinking of framing? I did have a 4x4 section above the stairs but I didn't put them back up after decorating recently

Yeah, discogs is a great site for collectors. Its been a while since I've bought any vinyl. It can be addictive, lol. I have a few albums hanging on my walls. I have Devo: Are We Not Men?, the first Psychedelic Furs album, Generation X first album (Billy Idol's first band) and Madness One Step Beyond among others.

We're looking to our favorite albums and or covers.

I was looking to score that INXS picture disc for framing cause it's one of my top ten favorite albums.

I just bought my wife Axis Bold as Love since that's one of her favorite albums/covers. She also wants to put her Jeff Buckley Grace vinyl up there.

We have 24 frames to start, so we have a lot of work to do lol.

Is there anything dumber than people who live in Southern California going to Mexico for vacation?

@TribalDrumz
Happy Friday !
Ya that’s never been appealing ! Rosarito was cool when we would just go down there for good lobster and a night beach show.
Other spots always reminded me of MTV spring break

I’ve been seeing so many truck bros again . Tacomas that aren’t even used for truck purposes lol
Just wait till you see the Cybertruck on the road. Bunch of white, middle-aged dweebs trying to peacock while never loading up or towing with the thing.
