Who do you think wins prime for prime? I think Holloway is just a bad match up for Aldo. Amazing chin, endless cardio and great boxing.Prime, lol.

Poirier wasnt a champ.
no it’s not. I would say rumble is a lhw becuz he is fighting in lhw.
lmfao if we are to use this analogy, Your logic would be “rumble was successful at lhw becuz he is actually a hw since he fought in the hw division “
I've come to find out that the kid is just a troll. He doesn't know what he's talking about really. You were trying to imply that the fact that Poirier had an unsuccessful career at LHW means anything at all. That's like implying Rumble making weight at welterweight meant anything at all.
That is false in both cases. All it means is he chose the wrong weight class for his frame type.
lol they were both lightweights in that fight. Max was in great shape.
They both have almost identical body frames.
poirier did the same in their featherweight bout.
What a shit excuse on your end
Prime, lol.
Aldo had so many miles on him from hard training at NU, a couple accidents, a hurt back, broken foot, and almost eight years fighting top talent at the time that he was easily post prime.
Anyway, war Max. Such a good example of classy after and before a fight.
I have no qualms with thatThat or Frankie
He was after that fight.
There's a reason Khabib didn't go up before retiring.
Prime Aldo? GTFOCrazy Holloway beat prime Aldo twice arguably and then got destroyed by Poirier
Who would've thought
so in other words what Max does to most 145lb?Max is a better fighter than Poirier, he was just brutally undersized in their fight, with Dustin looking to move up to Welterweight now.
so in other words what Max does to most 145lb?
If he was that much of a better fighter he would have had some success outside of Dustin gassing himself out by beating the fuck outta him.
He's a good fighter but just as you say that Dustin used his size - max does the same. If Volk and Aldo had middle and head kicks (utilized them more) they'd have had way more success (volk squeaking out two Dec. and Aldo starting strong and then fading). You see what happened when he fought someone who was just not a leg kicker - he won but got the fuck beat outta him in the process. With Volk and Aldo all Max did was eat the kicks and counter which he couldn't do with Yair because Yair was throwing to the body, the head and the legs with his kicks.
He was obviously past his prime, but he wasn't washed. So one of the best in the worldYeah hard to say.
Saying Aldo was past prime doesnt sound fair for Holloway.
I lean towards just being bad match up
Let's be careful with our wording of destroyed lol.Crazy Holloway beat prime Aldo twice arguably and then got destroyed by Poirier
Who would've thought
Wait I thought you were Max fan what is this lol
that particular fight was a title fightPoirier wasnt a champ.
If we're talking prime vs prime, I think Aldo. Aldo was still really good when he fought Max both times, but keep in mind that his fights before then were a war with Chad, a brutal KO from Conor, and another war (albeit an easier one) with Frankie. Personally, I think we've been seeing Aldo on a slow downhill since his 2nd fight with Chad.Who do you think wins prime for prime? I think Holloway is just a bad match up for Aldo. I’d say post prime. He had a ton of hard miles in him by this point. But I could be wrong. Could just be a”styles make fights” thing.
Aldo is a amazing striker but the cardio not so much. Holloway is a volume puncher so he will be in your face entire fight. Look what he did to Aldo in their first and second fight. He let Aldo punch himself out and then just put it on him.If we're talking prime vs prime, I think Aldo. Prime Aldo wasn't just more aggressive, he was also more versatile, especially with offensive grappling. Plus, towards the end of his run at 145lbs, he almost stopped throwing leg kicks completely. I think a prime Aldo would've been able to stand with Max, mix in some leg kicks, and if Max started getting too comfortable on the feet with combinations, he'd shoot a blast double like he did vs. Hominick back in the day.
