Max Holloway Considering 155, 170, 185

Do you see another belt in Max's future?

Walk around weight is meaningless , how do people not see how stupid the logic of caring about walk around weight is?
Its vindicitive of what their in shape weight will be pretty simple. If we see a guy and know what size and weight class he fights in its a good measure.

He's in a tough spot. Cutting that much weight is only going to get more difficult with age, and he was beaten thoroughly at 155.

He wasn’t though. Poirier was gassing hard and max was coming on strong. Idk if Poirier beats him again.

Nonsense - he looked soft at 155.

All I want for next Christmas is Max vs Ferguson

He lost a pretty close fight to the Nr.1 contender? Dustin himself admitted that Max was close to finishing him, it's not like Dustin completely butchered Max. If Max grows some muscle, he'll do fine at 155, but I doubt he'll ever fight Khabib, unless Khabib decides to stick around longer than initially planned.
Wasn't close at all

49-45 Porier

I gave max 2 rds vs porier. Dustin was gassing hard in the 5th

I think he doesn't like to diet so much nor does he want to endure the cut. Soo basically, he loves food and hates having to watch his weight. Fair enough, but to be a champion at his weight he needs more self control. He looked undersized against Poirier and had no pop. Good fight, but maybe Max just got to suck it up or relinquish his title. On the flip, perhaps Max looks good against Justin, Felder, and the likes and Dustin is just a tough night out... No too much evidence of that being the case, but it's possible.

Someone reminds him that he already lost at 155 against someone who is not even the best.

Max has a good chance of beating Khabib. Just because Dustin beat him standing, it doesn't mean Khabib would beat him via grappling. Styles make fights.

Regardless on your opinion of walk around weight, he's known to cut alot of weight. Also I wouldn't say its meaningless when fighters are killing themselves.

The fight I saw was close but Poirier won by a considerable margin. He landed much harder shots and had Max wobbled multiple times.

Could you fucking even begin to imagine a fight with Max vs Romero or a Costa LOL

Thats that Hawaii’n idgaf attitude for sure

69in reach LMAO he would get clubbed like a baby seal at any class above 155

The only way that would make sense is if every fighter gained the same amount of weight in between fights, which they obviously don't. Some fighters keep themselves in better shape than others and have a "walk around weight," that is closer to what they weigh when they fight.

Yeah, I remember seeing a pic of him on the scale and the dude looked like death.

I would love to see Max move up to 155.
So many great fights for him there. He had a competitive war with Poirier as well, Who's a top 3-4 LW on the planet.

He's only 28 and stopped the GOAT FW with strikes TWICE. That's amazing. He doesn't have much left to prove at 145. Respect to Max.

He's a fighter that I truly believe when he says he wants to fight the best and welcomes all challenges.

It wasn't a competitive war. I don't want Max to get cte. A few more Poirier fights will cause that.
