Why would Buckley have to fight number 4 Usman then number 1 Brady and then fight down against Garry for a shot.

Beating Usman and Brady are enough for a shot.

Because Usman's #4 is silly when he hasn't won a fight in 4 years. He can sit out if he'd like, or maybe Shavkat will have to fight Brady, but a lot depends on who wins between Belal/JDM to see if Islam is fighting JDM or if Belal is fighting Shavkat or Brady again.

It's unfortunate Shavkhat couldn't fight for the belt so Garry could fight JDM which I think is the most sensible fight for both rather than JDM likely getting smothered by Belal and Garry sitting for a while.

That said Garry v Leon Edwards since everyone else is committed to a fight. If he beats Leon, which by all indication he will, either fight for the belt or a #1 contenders match with one of several guys in the top 5 other than Shavkhat after those fights shake out.

Prates should fight Geoff Neal like he was supposed to or Colby but that would be...brutal.

That was a while ago and guys have better cases. If Buckley beats usman that’s a dark horse case.. Brady has a case now… but I see it coming, I think Ian gets a straight shot
