Bet they're going to give Jack a tank-top.

Seriously though, this is the type of shit that is needlessly condescending. Practically everyone that is buying this Day 1 at full price will have played the original games and seen whatever 'sexual cutscenes' they're referring to.

They're not editing them because the audience finds them offensive, they're editing them because they, the Legendary edition development team, find them offensive.

"Sadly, though somewhat unsurprisingly, the original three games in the trilogy will not be released unaltered, as Walters revealed that the team had made edits to some of the game’s more ‘well-rounded’ cutscenes.

According to Walters, “Kevin [Meek] actually called out some camera cuts that were just… why was that focusing on Miranda’s butt?”

“So in some cases we said, ‘Okay, we can make a change there’,” he recalled. “But ultimately, to change an entire character model or something like that wasn’t really… it was a decision that was made as part of many creative decisions and just showing it at the best possible fidelity that we could going forward is really the choice for all of the art that we had.”

Unfortunately, despite these improvements and changes being made to Mass Effect, Walters concluded his interview with Metro by revealing that the third game’s controversial ending would remain unchanged."

You had one job, Bioware. Just one job.

And this is just four years after they released Andromeda, which featured fully nude T&A, but now a female character who's fully clothed from her neck to her toes needs to be censored.

Wow.

Just wow.

The post smells kinda incellish tbh.

From your excerpt he’s specifically talking about a camera angle where an ass is the main focus of the shot. In the article it’s talking about adjusting some of the camera angles that were designed with a male main character in mind (a female with her legs spread while sitting down in a skirt).

It doesn’t say anything about sex scenes or nudity.

Relax a bit.

Yea honestly I really don't care. This isn't the kind of stuff that made the game epic.

No, its the annoyance of companies censoring art from years past.

Like George Lucas editing in Gweedo shooting first into the original Star Wars.

Lol what censoring is going on? The two aren’t comparable either.

Greedo shooting first changes the character of Han Solo fundamentally. This is saying “you know that shot where two characters are dialoging but someone’s ass is in the forefront of the shot the entire time? Yeah that comes off weird, let’s move the camera a bit.”

If there’s actual censorship that happens then by all means, have at it. Just seems like a weird thing to run with.

Yeah, they are.

No one asked for Gweedo to shoot first, Lucas took it on his own accord to make the change.

As for the Mass Effect Remasters, they're not editing them because the audience finds them offensive, they're editing them because they, the Legendary edition development team, find them offensive.

I don’t think it’s a matter of offense, it’s just weird lol. Look at this:

Like I said, if it comes out that there’s actual censorship then rage on. I’ll think that’s ridiculous as well. But as it stands, there really isn’t anything in that article worth getting upset over.

lol I don't remember this but yea these camera angles are stupid.

I might be in the minority but I liked how default FemShep looked in 1/2 than 3. The ME3 Default femshep looks kind of too plastic to me. I think they might have actually used a real face to model off of for the ME3 look but for some reason it always looked off to me

It was pretty over the top in ME3 where if you wanted to end the Romance with Miranda they would show that camera angle with a disclaimer (paraphrasing) saying "are you sure you want to end this romance?"

Very subtle.

As opposed to Jack, who's covered in tattoos, wears cargo pants and electrical tape.

Some of the charm of Mass Effect is the weirdness.

They didn't, but they absolutely should have.

One of the main reasons why I don't like playing as FemShep. Her face looks like it was just made in a character-creation menu, as opposed to Shepard which they did use a model's face.

I'm only offended because they are doing this but not fixing the ending. Great priorities here.

Did you play the ending with the extended cut? I'm not sure if I did or not.

Hard pass. Definitely not giving those fuckers my money for this shit. I’ve still got my 360 copies, will just play those on my series x.

What they really should do is fix the awkward sex scenes to be more realistic.

There's a reason theyre doing this, its because of the current times. Personally Id rather see the ass than the weirdly modelled faces for these games.
