X2, First Class, and Days of Future Past are better than most MCU movies. You can argue that they are not good adaptions of the source material, especially in how they handle characters not named Wolverine, but the movies themselves hold up just fine.

Pretty much none of the X-Men movies hold up.

Outside of the opening of X2 with Nighcrawler, which is goat level, only Logan stands as a truly quality X-Men movie. I can see argument for X, and X2, and parts of Days of Future Past, but they're really garbage.

Infinity War was my favourite comic arc of all time brought to life. The MCU ended when Thanos snapped his fingers. I forced myself to watch Endagme anyway, and then washed my hands of Marvel…NOT because I wanted to, but because nothing interesting really came out after (including Disney Plus…). I see things now as the difference between a well planned saga and throwing shit onto the wall.

Nah, people didn’t spend billions to see captain marvel because it was some end game prequel they couldn’t grasp end game without. “Bu bu but…it made billions only because of its release date” is a huge stretch you’re only making because you want to hate on “woke” shit so bad any facts showing it can be popular you’re going to reject.

They saw it because they wanted to, just like Black Panther. Doesn’t matter how much you hate it, emotions don’t matter here, the box office numbers do and they prove it wasn’t diversity of leads that was an issue it was over saturation, just like the entire industry at the time.

May I remind you that some of the most beloved movies with sequels out the ass for these kinds have female leads such as the Aliens movies, the Underworld and Resident Evil franchises etc. Remember the original Blade movies with Wesley Snipes? Really popular. People like Jackie Chan and Jet Li are super popular around the world as well so there goes the "muh racism" angle.

It's not about race or gender, it's about these assholes inserting their POLITICS into everything. It's obnoxious and preachy as fuck. Once they started to push that crap into their movies, their numbers started to tank. As I already mentioned, even the head of disney admitted it and said they were backing out of the culture wars.

Go look at the Disney share price... and wait till you see how much money they lose on their latest piece of woke trash that's about to be released. Hell, even pretty crappy Spiderman movies still make money, wanna bet on The Marvels turning a profit? LOL

Agreed, they forgot who their core market was, but the comics were headed this way beforethe movies. I collected Wolverine from 1989 until 2014 and then the greedy arseholes kept killing him off so they could pump out a shitload of variants to make money. I threw in the towel when they had a 7 comic run of the Death of Wolverine and, variants included there was something like 28 comics/variants in that 7 comic run. Then they brought him back as a female.... lost me forever and haven't picked up a comic since.

Yeah, the comics have been garbage for a LONG time but someone in charge seems to have had a functioning brain and made the movies based on when the comics were actually good. This. It's a bit like weight training. You can't just keep smashing PR's forever. Sooner or later fatigue will set in. So you build up to a peak, then take a deload, where you train with lighter weights and slowly build back up again.

After Endgame, Marvel should have focussed on street level heroes like Spider-Man, Daredevil etc. Make the Kingpin the Big Bad for that mini-Phase. When Fisk is taken down, tease that he was really working for someone else. Then slowly introduce the Fantastic Four, and eventually the X Men. Throughout those movies, drop Easter Eggs that there is a Big Bad pulling the strings behind the scenes. Eventually, this leads to the reveal of Doctor Doom, who has been manipulating both Heroes and Villains, and is finally ready to take an active role himself...

When I'm bored I sometimes watch that scene on Youtube. It is such a bad ass scene. He stabs the Nazi then slowly drinks his beer while the music is playing. That scene alone moved Magneto to my top five in the Marvel universe.
