one of the things I like to do when I'm bored is to announce to perfect strangers on the internet that I have absolutely no idea what "grifter" means. I heard someone say the word once, and just assumed it was a general insult, like "asshole", and therefore it must be a term for someone I don't like. I have never heard of the word "grift", and am far too dumb and lazy to ever look it up. Anyway, AOC is a grifter,

Words and their definitions are important. A grifter has no beliefs. They go wherever the money goes.
What is AOC gaining? What is she blocking? What is she not speaking up about? If fame and fortune is what she really desired, she could have it 10 fold.
Again, calling her a grifter is just flat out wrong. You can call her politically naive or politically stupid, but calling her a grifter is saying she's just been faking all her positions this whole time, it's just ignoring the realities of her power, her position, and maybe even her capabilities.
She can believe what I believe, and still be ineffective at getting things done.

Is Bernie a grifter because he dropped out and supported Biden? Is Sam Seder, Vaush or Anna Kasparian grifters because they didn't support #Forcethevote? Just because someone disagrees with how you think things should be done doesn't mean they don't believe in getting those things done.
The "attention" that AOC generates is largely negative. She gets shit on by the right, and she gets shit on by the left, and then the Jimmy Dore type far leftys shit on her. She's damned if she does, damned if she doesnt.

She doesn't even vote her principles, let alone create legislation in line with her stated core beliefs. Her most famous work has been the Green New Deal, which was more virtue signaling garbage with no real direction or path to implementation. Read: a grift. She has made a huge name for herself by claiming to be progressive without actually doing anything progressive. Perhaps she's just an opportunist and she knows what her fanbase wants to hear, but I don't see much difference between the two. Either way, her actions do not match her words. Liar, opportunist, grifter...I don't really care. She's the type of person that livestreams about money in politics from her luxury apartment, and then stumps for congressional pay increases. A real progressive hero, that woman.

I believe that Conservatism is dead in America. At this point, the GOP is the party of one mans ideology. I’m not really sure if it will come back any time in the near future. If Trump runs in 2024 and loses there might be a slim chance but my belief that by then the GOP will have voted in too many Trump denizens that going back might be too difficult.

I believe Trump knows enough about what his base needs that he gives them just enough, mixes in a shit ton of fear and grievance so that when he does the things his base doesn’t like it leaves them with a feeling of he’s better than the alternative.
