Yeah or maybe were better? I’d say gig sales would be a better indication. Manson probably still gets a big crowd these days I imagine.

I'm not sure about statute of limitations with Evan but IIRC other women came forward to say the same happened to them. Another IIRC Dita Von Teese and Rose McGowan said he was never like that with them, but maybe they were into freaky shit as well.

There was someone in this thread made me think it was true when I was firmly on the fence, I just can't remember who or what. To begin with I was "what the fuck do you expect? It's Marilyn Manson!"

Actress Evan Rachel Wood revealed on Monday that she suffered years of abuse while dating rock star Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner. In an instagram post, she said Manson began grooming her as a teenager. Four more women have since accused the singer of abuse. He’s denied all the allegations.

Wood had talked a lot about being a survivor of domestic violence, though she never named Manson until this week.

She testified before the California State Senate two years ago: “He broke me down through means of starvation, sleep deprivation, and threats against my life, sometimes with deadly weapons which would result in me having severe panic attacks where I was unable to breathe or stop shaking. Sometimes he would not allow me to sleep until I participated in acts of fear, pain, torture, and humiliation which I felt powerless to stop.”

Wood was there to advocate for the Phoenix Act, which extends the time domestic abuse survivors have to press charges against their abuser. It became law in California last year.

State Senator Susan Rubio from the San Gabriel Valley sponsored the bill and sat beside Wood as she delivered her testimony. Rubio is also a survivor of domestic abuse, and she’s now demanding the FBI investigate Manson.

Have you ever been abused by a man like that? I did for 3 years. I was scared for my life that he would kill me if I left him. I ended up just getting stalked for a month and him burning my house down. He used to beat the fuck out of me. Start talking about why the abuser doesn't leave the person he clearly hates rather than victim blaming.

If only it were that simple. Unless you've been through it you have no fucking idea of the shame and terror it provides.

Yeah ive had chicks that were into some kinky shit and i went with it. Like hair pulling, tying up, light slapping, name calling, spanking, light choking of throat. But not all chicks like that. Its not my think really but i did it cause they got off on it and asked for it and i obliged. But gotta be careful if youre a dude and you push the issue. In marilyns case these may be chicks he went too far with. Rose and Dita SCREAM damaged daddy issues type chicks who like that shit. Honestly any chick who sleeps with Manson is damaged imo.

Most 18 year old girls are damaged if they've been through some trauma and are vulnerable. And open to a 37 year old man being some sort of preying saviour. She became so distant and unavailable from her friends and her family they used to do nightly drive bys at his house in case she needed to escape.

The fact Sherdog have decided yet again that she's some slut is horrid. Alway backing up the guy when multiple women have said the exact same story. Always the woman's fault.

Like it or not, you have the same mindset in always backing up the alleged victim, even though there are no details known to anyone but the two people involved. Men can certainly be be deranged assholes, and women can also lie about men being deranged assholes. If you're picking a side with absolutely nothing driving it but pure emotion, you're no better than the people taking the opposite, but equally uninformed position on the matter.

Why would you not even consider the fact a teenager was groomed and abused? Why are you favouring a 37 year old man over a teenager, a PA and other women?

I can "consider" many things, but I certainly wouldn't form any solid opinion over some documentary that could be edited and slanted in all sorts of ways, to make the viewer lean a certain way.

"Have you seen some 90 minute documentary?", is not a very good argument to back up any position. These two were together for years, yet you think some documentary encapsulated all of that time, and has laid out all the facts? Not very bright, when it comes to a he said/she said kind of deal. I'd like to hear his side of the story. Have you heard anything?

In terms of the number of women, look up the case of Jian Ghomeshi up here. Three bitter women got together to bury a man who was completely innocent. And he was no superstar, like Marilyn Manson. That don't mean shit.
