Manny Pacquio vs David Diaz plus Fields/Barrett Tonight on PPV

You mean keep DOWN with Merchant. Larry's still got it though, didn't you hear him give Oscar shit in the Forbes fight for having a hard time against little guys?

"Oscar seems to have bitten off........less.....than he can chew."
larry may not make sense sometimes and he goes on wierd rants but he is still the fuckin man

Alright fellas, closing the thread for the Official style PBP.

BTW Too Short, Vargas owns a pizzaria, fitting eh?

Hmmm too many WBC belts. I bet that despite that Pac's isn't on the line, Sulaiman still hit him up for tens of thousands worth of sanctioning fees like he did for the Pavlik/Taylor II fight.

RD 1:

I love how out-boxing even an aged Barrera, and going skill-for-skill with Marquez, is "signs of deterioration"...they never seem to keep in mind that Pac devastated both those guys when they weren't ready for him.

Pac boxing very well, looking a lot like Israel Vasquez, intelligent pressure. Also, he's varied his left-hand, throwing mostlu uppercuts and straights to the body.

10-9 Pac.

RD 2:

Manny's just too fast and surprisingly, too slick for Diaz. But did Steward ask if Pac can keep this up for 12 rounds? For fuck's sake why? Diaz is staying at-range too much, and Manny's thumping jab established in the first seems to have discouraged him from coming in. Diaz's corner is right, he needs to get his forehead in Manny's chest.

10-9 Pac.

RD 3:

Manny lighting Diaz up at-will practically with the right hook as well, he's basically making Diaz look slow and confused, at least two steps behind.

10-9 Pac.

BTW I disagree Round 2 was 10-8, Diaz got lit up but not THAT bad.

RD 4:

Clinic. Pac dancing around Diaz with the right hand low landing whatever comes to mind most of the time. David looks to be wilting a bit, Pac nearly cracked his cheekbone with a straight-left. David's lucky he's got a head like a cinder block. I don't see David making the distance if he doesn't just cut lose and decide to either kill or be killed faster.

10-9 Pac.

RD 5:

Diaz showing some life, beginning to fire when Manny fires, landing some punches. Still, no sane person could have even considered giving him around. But the kid's all balls, and head.

10-9 Pac.

RD 6:

Slower-paced but Pac still doing all the damage. I agree David should get credit for just bravery alone, and resolve. But Pac is just too much for him so far. Pac landed another crazy left-hand, and note how Pac follows the big left with thumping right jabs, excellent.

10-9 Pac.

RD 7:

I just noticed Manny's keeping his right glove open and utilizing an old-school almost back-hand jab at times, too. Very clever stuff, even clinching efficiently.

10-9 Pac.

RD 8:

David mostly on the back foot getting peppered with everything, shorts covered in blood, brave but over-matched it seems. He absolutely can't win without miracle knockdowns, or a knockout.

10-9 Pac.

RD 9:

Diaz just getting picked-apart, finally goes down and the fight is stopped. Hell he's got Steward singing his praises, which means he's finally arrived, in HBO's collective broadcast mind.

Wow that should have been stopped but talk about a statement

Pacman #1 P4P no doubt about it
