I knew this was coming in Canada, I'd really like to know what he posted. I'm assuming this will be kept secret though. He allegedly posted "hate messages" towards Islam and Muslims and also Trudeau. If I were to guess, it was on facebook and some libtard reported his post and called the authorities to silence him. If he had made threats that's fine, but they're described as "hate messages". That sounds awfully ambiguous to me. Here is the article.

Fuck I meant to post this in the war room. Can mods move this please?

Hard to opine without knowing what was said.
"freedom of speech" is a good thing but there needs to be a limit.

Hate speech laws are bull shit, but if he made direct threats that different.

So it's hard to tell unless we knew what he said.

However you guys do have hate speech laws and with the guy running things now you may get even more hate speech laws.

There's no such thing as freedom of speech. I get the whole don't yell fire in a crowded theatre argument but freedom cannot have boundaries or limits or it ceases to exist.

Where are the mods? I can't believe this hasnt been moved yet.

That's why I put the old "" around it.

So you don't know what was said, but you think its ok for him to say it...

If he made death threats...

I'd have to know what he wrote to really have an opinion. I don't agree with our hate speech laws, but if the guy really made threats towards Trudeau and his family, well you can't be doing shit like that. What's concerning is that he's also being charged for making comments "hateful to Islam, Muslims and people from Syria". So what exactly did he say? Was he trying to incite violence, or was he just saying he hates people like that?

Hmmmm, some phantom writings that aren't revealed to the public, and this guy gets arrested? Where is the public oversight?
Sounds awfully shady. Not sure how anyone could support this, but I am unpleasantly surprised everyday now.

I've seriously been thinking about moving to South Korea with my wife. I am getting tired of Canada's oppressive PC bullshit and things will only get much worse under the useful idiot Justin Trudeau. The endless taxes to fund the latest progressive politicians social engineering schemes, the open borders, and now the thought crimes are getting beyond ridiculous.

We really gonna arrest a 40 year old from Quebec for being xenophobic? We may as well arrest the whole province.

The French and English can be xenophobic towards each other all they want because they aren't protected groups. If one of them is xenophobic towards a protected group though then they run the risk of hate crime.

That's ridiculous.
By that standard there are no freedoms.
