Huge moral victory for volk though.

Exactly how I scored it. It was competitive throughout but Islam did just enough in those rounds. Volk had the biggest moment of the fight at the end, but fights are scored by rounds.

The problem with this sport is how rounds get scored the same despite being wildly different. Islam gets the same amount of points for winning round 4, a round where he maintained dominant position and did nothing except get beat up, as Volk did round 5, a round where he dropped Islam and nearly finished him

Islam won a very close MMA fight, but in the striking department, Volk landed more, and he hurt islam more. Islam won because he mixed things up and got more control time with his grappling.
