Magni = The norse god of strength
Militia = Group of highly trained individuals

Gentlemen, you all have potential for great strength withing you. It is time to discover that strength which can carry mountains, split oceans apart, hold up the sky in it's place.

    Our goals are simple;
    Crush the other teams,
    See them driven before us,
And hear the lamentation of their women.

Great men often achieve success on the shoulders of giants. We are those giants and we make our destiny. It is in our hands to overhead press, jerk, push press, klokov press etc. our way in to victory and believe me gentlemen, victory is achievable. It is right there in front of you, it won't run away, it won't hide, it'll stay there to be taken by you asking the only question that matters; "will you take it?".

    Well, will you?

Those haven't yet sent their starting maxes please do inform me either in here or by PM. I'll try to fish the ones that have been sent from the official comp thread.

And sorry about the team name, KT always gets creative with these so I wanted something like that too :icon_chee and of course beat his team...

215lb clean and jerk. Been sick as fuck and haven't lifted much in the last two weeks or so+ busy as fuck with work with the holidays. With the holidays over and coming off this flu or whatever I will be looking to crush this number.

I'll update in this thread when I'm clean and jerking.

I likea this thread very much.

My current SOHP 1RM is 205.

Question, how is our team improvement calculated? Is it just most weight increased or is it the percentage increased?

    Also, lets fuc&'n dominate this.

It's calculated by most weight increased by the team.

Glad to have you everyone of you on the team. Let's crush this.

    135lbs SOHP

I think my all time max is like 180 or 198 or something 5 years ago. I've worked out about 10 times last year. I usually get injured so I'll either get you guys a big increase or 5lbs, lol.

    Thanks for the selection Kid.

Starting max is only 50kg, lol. Although my best is 60kg. I have a hard time getting my upper body lifts up, but hopefully I can get some respectable improvement for the team.

I will test my max tomorrow. I added 65lbs to my squat in the last competition. Now it is time to focus on the presses. Good luck team.

Personally i find my 5/3/1 progression to be the best out there from novice to advanced lifters IMHO. The main point of my progression is you will plug your amrap set into a 1 rm calculator and use the estimated max to run your percentages off of. And you will do this every session. What you will notice is the rep counts stay the same but the weight increases session to session on 5+(75%) days,3+(80%),5/3/1+(85%). Example for me 5+ days rep counts fall at 11 reps to set a new estimate max, 3+ days require 9 reps and 5/3/1+ takes 6-7 reps to set new estimated max. Each session your goal is to hit the required rep count.

Hi team, I'll post only my overhead work in here. Here's yesterday's session, hopefully get some push pressing done in the week:

    5/3/1 - Cycle 4, Week 2, Day 1 - Military Press

    Warmup
    27.5kg x 5
    35kg x 5
    40kg x 3

    5/3/1
    47.5kg x 3
    52.5kg x 3
    60kg x 3 + 9 = 12 reps. Rep PR!

    Joker Sets
    62.5kg x 6
    65kg x 4
    67.5kg x 3
    70kg x 3
    72.5kg x 2

    First Set Last
    47.5kg x 14
