Agreed the red could have easily stopped it when Lombard was on top pounding him he landed several shots on him

Idk, I don't ever really remember a point where Magny was just eating shots and not defending himself, he was changing positions and blocking a lot of Lombard's shots. It wouldn't have been the worst stoppage ever if the ref stepped in, but Magny was obviously not out of the fight and didn't need the ref to stop it.

I'd rather watch Hector murk some lower guys than gas against the better ones.

He got ktfo twice. What does it take to stop a fight? And yeah I'm aware that it should have been stopped again later when he was pounding on Lombard. But Lombard got him first fare and square. The idiot ref risked both their lives.

This ref should be the ref in championship fights. He lets it go long enough to avoid anyone from crying early stoppage, but not long enough to let the fighters take unwanted damage.

Truth be told, Lonbard barely landed clean, and Magny was not throwing everything into each shot.

Magney even threw the "mangy" slap A few times in Round 2!!!
