Week 27/Day 86(Deload)

Trap Bar Deadlifts:

3 X 67kg

3 X 85kg

3 X 95kg(PR)

One-Arm Pulldowns:


3 X 5 X 35kg


Chest Supported Dumbbell Rows:

3 X 5 X 18kg

Deload Weeks are meant to be used to recover with less weight/volume. But the first couple of sets of Trap Bar Deadlifts felt so easy, I couldn't resist going for a PR. :)

No plan survives contact with reality. :(

My plan was to use the Smith Machine for Bench/JM Press, as the gym with the Swiss Bar is on the other side of the city. Which is a pain in the arse to get to during the Festival.

I walk into the easier to reach gym this afternoon, only to find that some utter Cockwomble(s)have managed to break both Smith Machines. How in the name of the Virgin Mary's Holy Hymen do you manage to break a fucking Smith Machine, never mind two of them?! :mad:

The gym can't tell me when they'll be repaired; could be tomorrow, could be a month from now. They have to wait on specialists from Precor turning up to fix the Smith Machine's.

I can do a JM Press with a barbell, as long as I'm very careful. Which isn't a bad thing with JM Presses anyway; screw up and you're going to drop a barbell on your neck/face. But for Benching, Swiss Bar is my only other option. So I'm just going to have to suck it up, buttercup, and fight my way across Edinburgh when I want to Bench.

Good news, bad news...

The Good News is they got one of the Smith Machines fixed. Looks like Smith Machine JM Press is back on the menu, boys!

The Bad News is that Benching heavy on the SM makes the Bicep Tendonitis in my right arm/shoulder flare up. So I'll have to make the trip across town and use the Swiss Bar. It's the only option I have to Bench pain-free.
