Why is it impossible to have? Because the conversation is inherently bigoted or racist to some people, especially the moral grandstanding, virtue signaling types. To even acknowledge the need for a process of assimilation is to imply a difference of values, beliefs, imprints, conditioning and culture. Its become very taboo and theres probably a bunch of reasons why.

I think it really depends on who you’re talking to. As hard as they may be to find, I think there are people who take moderate stances on the left and the right who are willing To have a reasonable discussion.
