Despite our differences, right and left agree on a lot of things. Heres a list of common goals that should not be controversial at all:
1. Don't hawkishly invade/bomb countries.
2. Don't screw over average Joe so you can benefit rich corporations or billionaires.
3. Don't place the interests of foreign nations above the interests of your own.

MSM makes sure we are constantly at each other's throats over some ladyboy drama instead of simply ensuring that someone who can follow those three rules gets into office.
For the last 10 years or so though the average people have been getting wiser to this and its understandable that they elected Trump despite his clear flaws. I think people were right to see him as a better alternative to another hollow corporatist.
However time has now revealed to us the extent to which Trump can be beneficial, and its woefully less than we hoped for. Lets take a look at how he violated the above mentioned three principles that theoretically are the bedrock of his movement but in practice not so much:
1. Trump uses bunker buster super bombs to destroy Iran's nuclear energy facilities over empty fearmongering that they will develop nukes after 50 years of being able to but still not doing it.
2. Trump passes the Big Beautiful Bill, which generally benefits the ultra rich and will negatively impact the working class.
3. Trump constantly goes to bat for Israel, ignoring thousands of Palestinian civilians butchered by Netanyahu, rubber stamping Israel's annexation of the Golan Heights, bombing Iran, pushing the Abraham Accords on Arab nations, moving the embassy to Jerusalem, etc.

Trump supporters will say he could have done a lot worse to Iran, the BBB was a mixed bag, I don't care about Palestine anyways, etc. but thats not the point. The point is Trump had a clear message and a clear mandate from the American people, but there's something wrong and he is only half-delivering on his promises. So its time to diagnose the problem. Well for anyone who is at all familiar with American politics this seems to be a pretty obvious case of a grass roots political movement being highjacked by neocons at the behest of big business and the Israel lobby. Whether or not this has anything to do with Trump partying with Epstein I will leave up to you to decide, but it seems rather convenient that this is another issue he has underdelivered on.

So looking forward to 2028, how can we secure a government which delivers on the 3 points? Is the answer to elect a democrat? So far their best prospects are Sanders, the Jewish man who manages to make Trump and Biden look young, and Fetterman, the guy who advocates destroying Iran and is fiercely pro-Israel on all matters. Not exactly hopeful about either of those. Edit: People have suggested Newsom too, but he has said Israel is the side of good fighting against evil, and signed laws restricting Palestinian protests and enforcing mandatory anti-discrimination training created by Jewish lawmakers. He will be much of the same.

Realistically it seems more likely the Republicans will stay in power, so the question becomes who will be the heir to Trump and what direction will they take the country in? Vance seems the most likely candidate as he is young, intelligent, articulate, charming, endorsed by Trump yet without the crassness or connections to Epstein, has a military background and links to Appalachia, all which will make him appealing to people. You might be thinking this seems too good to be true, and you would be right. This is because this harmony of qualities is no accident, as Vance is in fact an entirely astroturfed product, plucked out of law school and groomed by billionaire transhumanist neocon Peter Thiel to one day do his bidding in politics.

Lefties seem to already know this, but MAGA dudes I must tell you now that if you elect Vance you will get George Bush part 3 but worse because he wants to put a computer chip in your brain. Don't do it. Remember that he was even calling Trump Hitler before his orders changed.
So if not Vance, then who? Ron DeSantis would probably be the next republican to come to mind, so would he be a good option? Unfortunately he doesnt seem to pass the sniff test. Despite in being less obvious, he shows some signs of astroturfing too. Just like Vance he goes from an Ivy League law school, to a fake military role, to becoming a prominent politicians and gets praised by Thiel. The link isnt as definitive here but its enough to raise a few eyebrows, and don't forget that he blatantly betrayed Trump in the primaries. Can you really trust him?
The truth is these manufactured candidates will almost always beat out real grass roots champions. AIPAC even systematically eliminates candidates who show any nuanced understanding of the Palestine conflict by funding their opponents. But one man who has surprisingly slipped through their net is Thomas Massie, the representative of Kentucky in the house of representatives. If you look at voting issues regarding foreign wars, bombings, or helping Israel, its often 300-1 in favor and the one guy who votes against is Massie. Trump has started attacking him because of this:

Massie also opposed the BBB and has pushed for the release of the Epstein files. No wonder Trump hates him and is sending his attack dogs against him. Massie has also advocated for AIPAC to register as a foreign agent. The last time an American politician did so it was JFK shortly before he was assassinated. If there is any way we can get a guy like Massie in it would be a massive win for true populists, whether they are MAGA or the young left.

I agree in theory but the problem is with this shit ass 2 party system the left will probably throw someone like Gavin up for election and there's no way in hell I'm voting for him either.

Massie sounds interesting though but I'm largely ignorant on him

On Newsom: He said the fight between Israel and Hamas is a fight between good and evil calling Israel the good side. Also he restricted Palestinian protests and signed a law enforcing anti-discrimination training designed by Jewish lawmakers. He will be more of the same. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/28/gavin-newsom-gaza-protests-universities-00181548

Massie has all the good aspects of Trump with few of his flaws, and is willing to stand up against Zionism in a way we haven't seen since JFK. Also, in a stroke of luck the BBB happened to be bad for electric car manufacturers so it pissed off Musk, who noticed Massie is the only republican who opposed it, so we could get lucky with Musk helping to defend him from Trump and AIPAC.

- Man. Trump could rape Virgin Maria and i pretty sure some MAGA's would stil suport. Israel is current on a holocaust campaing in Gaza, and some of them still suport.
The left is a bunch of weirdo's.

Here is a podcast Massie just did with Theo Von for anyone who wants to get to know him better:

For the TLDR crowd he is an engineer, a farmer, has 30 patents, and seems like a pretty cool dude.

I'm not very knowledgeable on massive, there is a primary and he has his chances of winning. In a few years the Republicans are likely to be lining up to differentiate themselves from Trump or act like they are his heir apparent. Vance will be boosted or burdened by Trump. The die hards on both sides will vote without looking and without hesitation. So it will all come down to the popularity of Trump in this term. This might be low as history suggests, the Dems need to stop being fucking retarded for 30 seconds and they might win this. Newsom is a mistake, but he's the front runner right now.

If Democrats fielded a candidate with a long track record of defying AIPAC, criticizing military interventions, and protecting the American worker I would gladly support them, but yeah its going to be another Newsom type calling for the destruction of Hamas and they will lose again.

Also for anyone who really wants the Epstein files released, Massie is pushing for a vote in congress to have them released:

Trump is pissed about it and spent 1.8 million dollars in attacks against Massie, but Trump fans seem to appreciate it and 89% of them want the files released: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/co...ins-maga-allies-push-epstein-files-rcna220586

He's too competent to be a good politician, so he will never be president

And why would we not want Vance to run for President in 2028? He is smart, well spoken, aligns with what Trump is trying to do to make America Great again. I am not reading your shit post TS, but explain why MAGA woulld not want Vance to run after Trump?

no, the horseshoe coalition is not a good idea. Leftists and MAGA have very different worldviews, arguments, values, end goals, audiences and strategies. They may agree that a thing is bad, but it's not the same as being able to work together.

For example I see a bunch of Massie clips. He's a libertarian, he's annoyed that the BBB cuts didn't go deep enough in social programs like SNAP and Medicare (despite this BBB still exploded the debt) and he wants to shrink government. and reduce debt. Leftists want the social safety net expanded, reduced privitisation, bigger government, wealth redistribution, and for Trump not to give tax cuts to the rich. Pushing in opposite directions, even if the outcome is voting against the bill.

I also don't see Massie as MAGA, he's a Libertarian. MAGA folks are essentially paleocons (anti-immigration, protectionism, anti-free trade) but with more anti-immigration sentiment than usual, but unlike paleocons MAGA folk don't give a shit about power grabs as long as it's their guy. Libertarians aren't too fond of power grabs and centralising power in the executive and are far more open to free trade and immigration.

So, I don't even know to what extent MAGA can work with Massie either. He's his own thing.

Edit - I just saw you put John Fetterman as a DNC or left presidential choice. He's getting primaried first opportunity. He's viewed as a traitor to the DNC and especially the left and among the most hated politicians in the coalition.

He plays along with the MAGA stuff, but he's a Peter Thiel guy, not a Trump guy.

If you want to know what a post-Trump JD will do, look at what Peter Thiel wants instead as an indicator. I don't think you'll like it, tbh.

@SuperLuigi

there isn't a real MAGA ideological successor, they're all full of shit. But your closest alternative is probably Josh Hawley, but it's hollow. He for example protested the SNAP and Medicare cuts and put forward the bill to stop insider trading for congressional members. But at the same time also voted for the BBB he opposed with all the cuts he said were bad going through anyways.

You're SOL for a true MAGA successor. It's all a grift.

Maybe look for an old school paleocon instead, if you are focused on anti-intervention, pro-protectionism, convervative social values and reduced federal and executive power (state's rights).

Because Vance was groomed his entire career by a neocon to be a neocon and was saying Trump is Hitler until his handlers realized they couldnt beat Trump and changed his marching orders. Hopefully that is short enough.
