Social MAGA 2025 Civil war incoming! Vivek Ramaswamy Betrays Base & reveals true colors, Says Americans SUCK !!

I worked at one of the largest wholesale nurseries full time in the summer months at ages 13-15.

I made 8 dollars an hour. This was my first experience with immigration.

This nursery used to always get busted by the INS (I believe they merged with homeland security) in the 90’s and fined and their workers got deported.

The owners 3rd generation children of the nursery then lobbied politicians on both sides to implement a H1A program. Which passed

So now they offer minimum wage and minimal benefits to the local citizens. When no one shows up or they turn em away in interviews they’re then allowed to use the H1A program.

Now they import the Mexican and shuttle em in, pay for an apartment building nearby where they house em, take em grocery shopping once a week. And pay them less than the federal minimum wage since they’re not technically citizens. Obviously no benefits either.

I worked with a lot of these guys and they had family farms down in Mexico where they would funnel the US dollar to. Some were Latin king members. Some sold coke and weed(they would brag how they grow the stuff and import it then it sell to the white man.) Some were squeaky clean.

This nursery still imports their Mexicans but lately they’ve also been importing Karen’s (SE Asia)

The owners have been doing this business practice since WWII. All the grandkids go to expensive private schools and colleges and get high manageme
What are their political affiliations???
On a slightly more serious note...

First, it's amusing to see people get upset about the "culture" argument from Vivek when Americans have been criticizing the "culture" in parts of black America, Central and South America, Africa, and the Middle East for years at this point.

Second, Vivek isn't saying anything that many international communities haven't been saying for decades about mainstream American culture. That Americans don't value education high enough, don't work hard enough, have subpar family values, etc. I heard it as a kid with immigrant parents, I hear it from immigrant parents these days as well.

As an argument it misses a lot of important details but, returning to my first point, MAGA America was very comfortable with criticizing other people's culture while pushing for a supposed increased focus on meritocracy in our country and more STEM focus from education.

When 2 successful billionaires say "Meritocracy means that we need to bring in people who have adopted a culture of excellence in STEM fields," MAGA America should be hand clapping.
If you're arguing they are getting a dose of their own medicine and a nice slice of humble pie....Sure 100% loving that.

There are a ton of things wrong with current modern American culture & work ethic. True.

But A pharma bro scammer such as Vivek is one of them.
Also, I'm not going to support any argument that allowsdisingenuous conflict of interest Billionaires like Musk or Vivek to capitalize off exploiting outsiders without a SUBSTANTIAL contribution towards the education and guaranteed positions for Americans to bridge the gap.
Companies should not have better payroll margins or profit in any from this.
Its beyond ridiculous to think of it.

Well, that's unfortunate then.

Because when the policies benefitted the lower socioeconomic groups, MAGA America targeted those policies by re-framing them as benefitting unqualified black people. It's been the repeating theme of the US since the 1950s.

Any time America tries to help the lower crust, we see a section of white Americans jump up and tear down those policies by focusing on the small sliver of policies that specifically benefit minorities. They don't care that they destroying policies that curb the rich or corporations so long as they prevent minorities from reaping an "unfair" benefit.

What they've never understood is that the vast majority of them are as unqualified, with poor values, as those groups they look down on. They somehow believe that the cultural problems they fixate on in black or brown America are not the selfsame cultural problems that every other immigrant population sees in mainstream America.

As the Bible says: And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

I dont disagree with that at all. I often call it white washing or sanitizing their own culture for the same transgressions they want to demonize everyone else for.

But I believe Vivek's condemnation was speaking to the broader group of the American working class as a whole. He definitely wasn't sticking up for the disenfranchised groups hit harder by the gaps, especially knowing his sellout stance on racial & cultural issues.

I can see how their practices for so long have led to this.

What are their political affiliations???
Well I should state I no longer have any affiliation with them but a family member of mine did/does. They’re republican. But they have worked with Dems in the state to bring H1A to them.

And it should be noted my union has endorsed both democrats and republicans. Not all republicans are anti union

I have heard stories however and I don’t know how valid they are is that my union were some of the first donors to Scott Walker of WI. Originally he was pro union then the story goes AIPAC and the Koch brothers made him a millionaire over night and he shifted and was one of the reasons Wisconsin became non union

It's amazing how they believe that black American culture developed in some sort of vacuum without any influence from white people or their actions.

I'm fine with every country, especially the ones in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, wanting to keep others out and keep their own kind as the majority in their countries.
The west, as in the United States. We are the ones that are built on having everyone come here.
Thats why you come here.
That's the Old World. We are the New World.

Mostly agree with this.

This is why I've always said that Europeans spazzing out over immigrants is at least somewhat understandable since they've been racially homogenous for like 2,000 years.

At the same time, they're a few centuries away from not being the majority in their countries. I mean, they're about to start a revolution and anti-Muslim pogroms because the nonwhite population is a whopping 10% in a couple of countries. It's cute when they can't comprehend ethnic neighborhoods. "OMG, there's an entire street in London with all Muslims!"

American whites have zero arguments.

Having high quality skilled workers join the American labor force benefits America and Americans. Having illegal immigrants who don't work and are a drain on American resources do not, it's not that difficult to comprehend.
The difficulty comes in that Trump, prior to Elon and Vivek giving him new marching orders, was against those visa's and limited them. Just as he was against Tik Tok before a billionaire investor visited him and made him an offer he could not refuse.

Trump Suspends Visas Allowing Hundreds of Thousands of Foreigners to Work in the U.S.

The move is fiercely opposed by business leaders, who say it will block their ability to recruit critically needed workers from countries overseas.

President Trump on Monday temporarily suspended new work visas and barred hundreds of thousands of foreigners from seeking employment in the United States, part of a broad effort to limit the entry of immigrants into the country.

In a sweeping order, which will be in place at least until the end of the year, Mr. Trump blocked visas for a wide variety of jobs, including those for computer programmers and other skilled workers who enter the country under the H-1B visa, as well as those for seasonal workers in the hospitality industry, students on work-study summer programs and au pairs who arrive under other auspices....

The order also restricts the ability of American companies with global operations and international companies with U.S. branches to transfer foreign executives and other employees to the United States for months or yearslong stints. And it blocks the spouses of foreigners who are employed at companies in the United States.

Trump has to check in with Tech Oligarchs on all his issues now and bend the knee to what they want.

Be honest though.

Unless you believe in DEI programs to get lazy American worker with terrible culture into these high paying jobs when they cannot compete for them, then this so called 'cheap labor', being hired into the top paying jobs in tech, should be allowed to be given to the brightest and best as per the 'free markets'.

Or have Magats now abandoned the Free market model for a new form of DEI?

I quoted it in the first response. Im asking for clarification you absolute imbecile.

Ok bud, if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't come barging in acting like you know shit.

Go google what states produce canola. Now go google what states produce fruits and vegetables.

How old are you now?

I'm old enough to have been paid $6/hr when I started working at 14, back in 1992. The comment to @jefferz was more around the idea that he insinuated foreign workers getting around $2/hr and him making 4x that. I'm more curious what year/timeframe this was (30 years ago vs last year?)

And yes, the entire system is completely fucked. Just a disgusting way for large corporations to continue to show growth and return, at whatever cost or hypocritical stance needed.
It really is unfortunate how there's always these greedy piss-flap faced suits who will game a good government program for the sake of money and fuck it up for everyone else.

Some businesses legitimately benefit from temporary foreign worker programs, need them to continue operations, and treat them accordingly. One company I know of finds them places to rent, pays for their travel to and from the country, and can truthfully demonstrate a dearth of domestic candidates for the job.

On the other hand, even here in PEI, agricultural workers are brought in and housed in on-site barracks. I have no idea how good the working conditions are but I do know that they have to keep the job to stay in the country so no one is going to say shit supposing their mouths are full of it. Perhaps their need is genuine as well even though it seems unlikely. I don't know. But I do know it means there ought to be greater oversight over non-specialist uses.

You said you were getting 4x what the immigrants were making, then you said they were making $2/hr. Just curious when you were making $8/hr on the farm.
I believe you imagined that second part but I'm open to being proved wrong.
