Social MAGA 2025 Civil war incoming! Vivek Ramaswamy Betrays Base & reveals true colors, Says Americans SUCK !!

https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/statement-donald-j-trump-position-visas

"Megyn Kelly asked about highly-skilled immigration. The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay. I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse and ending outrageous practices such as those that occurred at Disney in Florida when Americans were forced to train their foreign replacements. I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions."
Donald J. Trump (1st Term)

"I have many H-1B visas on my properties. I've been a believer in H-1B. I have used it many times. It's a great program," he said.

At the end of the day BILLIONAIRES pushing an agenda of putting foreign non-citizens first & CORPORATE best interests first are the complete opposites of putting the American blue collar worker or average citizen first.
Whether you support this kind of legal immigration, or you don't. Its so strange that they are literally putting this first. Like a giant head start first. Like they aren't even in office yet & they are immediately putting corporate non-citizen issues 1st.

WTF MAGA. You told us libs that a byproduct of our liberal tears would be Trump putting us 1st and getting rid of establishment corporate serving politics.
This is not that.

LMAO I guess we should look for more things that will help the biggest corporations in the world get outsourced cheap low maintenance labor & hope it trickles down to the middle class.

Such dangerous gullible fools. When you're so deep into your cult that you actually abandoned your core beliefs.

This is true. The odd thing though is that this is the one of the goals of the Republican Party (and Liberals generally). Corporate issues first and everything else next. So now I am curious what happens next? Do Repubs and MAGA lean harder to the right?

Its a cult so they will follow the leader as long as there are talking points and canned verbiage to superficially justify their hypocrisy & their values never aligning with their actions. Thats what sheep look for. Buisness as usual for them TBH.
I honestly believe that they dont care about data, their own income, jobs, their own taxes, & pricing as long as they can win some silly culture war and online arguments. It's all about their nasty feelings then post fact justifications to save face for being a shitty person.

When those things go to shit under Trump they will just blame Biden anyways. Their Get Out of Jail free card.

It's crazy to think nationalistic MAGA is actually tolerable of immigrants who accumulated the most wealth in the world off the backs of American citizens to then tell Americans "your culture sucks & i don't want to hire you."
All because he glazed Trump who cosigned for him.

I just remembered this because due to all the issues over H1-B visas that is attached to all things healthcare When a doctor filed a claim for an examinations he would submit documents and various cat scans and X rays to be examined by MD's at the Hospital he was doing the work. It turns out the Hospitals in this case a Hospital from New York "apparently owned by the largest hospital chain the US" was sending the data to an Indian based group of doctors.

You may be thinking this is what Vivek Ramaswamy is talking about good doctors but no this is getting doctors who work for next to nothing to look at your X rays and other equipment data. So they would make a medical diagnoses based on what was collected and they send a report to the hospital to OK to the physician who made the claim. The physician said he had no idea this process was going on. He raised it to the New York State Medical boards that this was going on and they blew up over it.

They had no idea this massive hospital chain was doing this at the time. The doctor made this case none of these Doctors passed the medical boards in the US or pharmaceutical commision certifications but here we are they are making life and death decisions on things pertaining to procedures performed. MAGA should hear about that one for sure. Image the insurer and Hospital using data from India to decide if you get a life saving procedure performed? I made a big stink online over this news and everyone agreed with me.

Where I live, all the migrant workers that come to work on farms are from South Africa.
Why? Because it's cheap labor that can be exploited.

The last farmer I worked for had South Africans, great guys. During harvest, we worked for 1.5 months straight, 7 days a week, 16-hour days with no breaks. Canola needs to be swathed at night, so there were a couple of times we were up 72 hours straight.
Most Americans aren't willing to put in that amount of hours, and they shouldn't have to. I'm never going to do that shit again, the mental toll is too much.

I happened to "come across" one of their pay stubs, and they were getting paid 1/4 of what I was getting paid. And they knew if they complained, they'd get sent back. They were getting taken advantage of.

When it comes to fruit picking, like watermelons, farmers aren't willing to pay them a liveable wage. Offer a liveable wage, and you'll get Americans to apply. But I sure as shit, and I'm sure you wouldn't either, pick fruit for $2ish an hour.
You were getting $8/hr?

You were getting $8/hr?
I worked at one of the largest wholesale nurseries full time in the summer months at ages 13-15.

I made 8 dollars an hour. This was my first experience with immigration.

This nursery used to always get busted by the INS (I believe they merged with homeland security) in the 90’s and fined and their workers got deported.

The owners 3rd generation children of the nursery then lobbied politicians on both sides to implement a H1A program. Which passed

So now they offer minimum wage and minimal benefits to the local citizens. When no one shows up or they turn em away in interviews they’re then allowed to use the H1A program.

Now they import the Mexican and shuttle em in, pay for an apartment building nearby where they house em, take em grocery shopping once a week. And pay them less than the federal minimum wage since they’re not technically citizens. Obviously no benefits either.

I worked with a lot of these guys and they had family farms down in Mexico where they would funnel the US dollar to. Some were Latin king members. Some sold coke and weed(they would brag how they grow the stuff and import it then it sell to the white man.) Some were squeaky clean.

This nursery still imports their Mexicans but lately they’ve also been importing Karen’s (SE Asia)

The owners have been doing this business practice since WWII. All the grandkids go to expensive private schools and colleges and get high management positions in the company. They all have million dollar homes

All this hate on Vivek just showed how some lefty’s are racist to the core

Maybe you would be better served if you realized the right wing and left wing belong to the same bird.

And that bird is a corporate bird flying around the globe which is then bought and sold to the highest bidder.

The culture politics sold to you online and by media outlets is designed to fracture and divide the middle and lower classes. It keeps them like a dog chasing its own tail while giving to no attention to its master

How old are you now?

I'm old enough to have been paid $6/hr when I started working at 14, back in 1992. The comment to @jefferz was more around the idea that he insinuated foreign workers getting around $2/hr and him making 4x that. I'm more curious what year/timeframe this was (30 years ago vs last year?)

And yes, the entire system is completely fucked. Just a disgusting way for large corporations to continue to show growth and return, at whatever cost or hypocritical stance needed.

Hitting muthafuckers with that "culture" argument.

On a slightly more serious note...

First, it's amusing to see people get upset about the "culture" argument from Vivek when Americans have been criticizing the "culture" in parts of black America, Central and South America, Africa, and the Middle East for years at this point.

Second, Vivek isn't saying anything that many international communities haven't been saying for decades about mainstream American culture. That Americans don't value education high enough, don't work hard enough, have subpar family values, etc. I heard it as a kid with immigrant parents, I hear it from immigrant parents these days as well.

As an argument it misses a lot of important details but, returning to my first point, MAGA America was very comfortable with criticizing other people's culture while pushing for a supposed increased focus on meritocracy in our country and more STEM focus from education.

When 2 successful billionaires say "Meritocracy means that we need to bring in people who have adopted a culture of excellence in STEM fields," MAGA America should be hand clapping.

Much like what is going on right now is about education and the billionaires are preparing to end the department of education. They did not understand their special needs children education was funded by the department of education and not the states. I am pretty sure my home state of Massachusetts will start to pay for it but will no doubt cut some of the programs that are offered. I am willing to bet that will not happen in many right leaning states. But MAGA just finding out that these people are coming from other Countries where their education was free or almost free. India offers heavily subsidized college for people from lower income levels. Unlike here where college is far from free or heavily subsidized.

While India does not offer completely "free college" for everyone, it does have several government schemes that provide free or heavily subsidized education at various levels, particularly for girls and students from economically weaker sections,"

The states where many MAGA live.

When reading Vivek's message, it made me think of this.

We aren't going to change until we see signing days on local news broadcasts of girls signing their letters of intent to study physics at MIT.

Those signing days get ignored

Breaking news MIT funds education for lower income families and I have friends from MIT minorities that have gone through to Phd program at MIT.

Oh look 5 years ago MIT pick an black woman to be student body President.

To be fair, we see tv broadcasts of kids who get into multiple Ivy League schools or have significant scholarship offers. We see it every year around the time that students have to accept college offers. I don't have a college age kid and I've seen it frequently. Now, for people who are more tuned in to sports, they're going to be more aware of the sports signing days but it's not accurate to suggest that the academic standouts are being ignored.

I’m 36.

I was 19-20 during the crash of ‘08. I was a block, brick and stone mason then. I was working with all ex-union guys that had no work. We were getting paid 1.10 a sq ft. We had our own mixer and tools. We were doing 60 hr work weeks and when we did the math we were just making over 10 an hour. No benefits either. These guys were used to making in the 30’s with full benefits.

The prior year I had went down with a temp agency by the name of “tradesman international” I was contracted to blattner as an “electrician.” Doing 80-90hr work weeks wiring vestas wind turbines in Iowa. I was paid 15hr with a 350 weekly per diem. We were contracted for 30 an hour though. The guy that contracted me out was named Josh forester.

One day the PM held us all back after a safety meeting and said “ when you guys are out at the bars and talking to people and they ask you what you are you say you’re a fucking electrical. That’s what you’re down here doing. That’s what you’re contracted for. That’s what you fucking are.

Me being only 19 I asked why he was so bent out of shape about us being truthful. The older guys told me there were union crews down here and since it was federal money we weren’t supposed to be out here. I asked what’s a union. I was told “they make twice what we make have benefits and get weekends off.”

I was 185 pounds of muscle when I went down there. I came back weighing 145. I did it for 6 months and the only guys that could stick with it either were felons, had insurmountable debt, or drug addicts

I’m with a union now. The way it works is your dues goes to lobby politicians on your behalf. State contracts and everything is transparent. The dues also go to pay for training centers where you’re actually taught the skills of a trade.

All job sectors should adapt a model like the one I’m part of honestly
