Not yet. I'm not looking forward to that flight. Plus when the wife goes back she likes to spend most of her time just visiting friends and family. But, I'll have to go sometime soon.

Well if his first term is any indication it's only a matter of time. IIRC 40/44 of his previous Cabinet declined to endorse him in 2024 and some had public falling outs with Trump like Sessions, Tillerson, and Milley.

It's about abusing workers, with the bonus they won't unionize either.
Sure there are people with worthless degrees. That has been the case since colleges first opened their doors. The bottom line is they want cheap labor that can be manipulated with work visas. The pendulum always swings, workers get rights but then go too far with their rights and then the same thing happens with employers. Right now, the employers are swinging back and anyone who reads a history book knows they will swing too far, and then workers will get pissed, and politicians will get elected to pull the pendulum back.
Right now, we are in the employer trying to seize the power phase.
The Foreign Tech Bros misjudged their power. They would have been better off not saying Americans are lazy and too busy playing sports. Advocating replacing American Workers with cheaper foreign workers is a hard message to sell, but the first mistake is not shitting on the native population while trying to institute that policy.

Been to obv Taipei which is awesome. Night markets, even karaoke is different and fun (private rooms), the palace and soup dumplings.. Went to green Island (nice bit not as great as other places), Kenting on the southern coast was amazing, and Taroko Gorge is phenomenal and a must. There was a hot spring in the bottom of a small canyon that had a river running next to it. Your wife may have heard of it. Think it was closed down after some accidents but surreal with the cliffs on both sides, transitioning from hot spring to cold river water. Truly amazing. Enjoy it bud.

My daughter works at Jimmy Johns across from a college. She started at 15 with permit 3 yrs ago. When she started it was the owner, the owners son and three 15 yr olds.

We have 3 Warehouses in my market, applications went from 4k a month to four for 2 yrs....We have not recovered

Flight is ok. Sleep mostly. It's worth the trip. Outside of standard phrases... these were the most important "Wa Ai Nee", "Wa Sha Nee", and "Nee Hun Fan"
