Imagine what it's like to spend hours of your time looking up old interviews of barely relevant MMA fighters to analyze their accent and make determinations on whether or not you think its fake.

In like 3 years, she went from a normal average american girl accent to a brazilian accent....oh ya, that's normal...It's not about thinking it's fake...it is fake...but not really sure it should matter all that much...I do think she should be called out on it though...be proud of who you are and where you came from...don't try and reinvent your background...If you're not a brazilian, don't try and be one...don't talk like one.

Yep , as anyone talks about it I now watched an interview and the accent well can be fake or not who knows but to near completely loose grammar, syntax and most of her active vocabulary is hm special.

Well lets hope she fakes it because otherwise she has a brain tumor stage 3 or is at the low low low end of any IQ rating.

Her parents are brazillians dude. She's dating a brazillian. Her entire life is brazillian jiu jitsu. She trains in brazil for nearly like the last decade.

Im not sure if its fake or not but a silly thing to care about.

Lol so because your dad and step-mom were Brazilian (but raised you in the US) you got a weird Brazilian-American hybrid accent. Right. I know plenty of people that grew up speaking nothing but their parents' native language with them at home and still have a completely normal American accent when speaking English. Not saying its the case with her, it could be fake but her father is brazilian, all I´m saying its common to have a weird accent if you speak in other languages, I´m sure a lot of Americans who moved to UK have somewhat changed their accent over time and its the same language, now if you were surrounded by brasilians talking english maybe you could pick the annoying accent of us talking in English.

For a person to make a video about it he probably never traveled much less spoken another language.

what isnt explained however how she suddenly switched from speaking with a US accent at the age of 21, to suddenly at the age of 24 speaking full on portuguese and actually forgetting the most basic of english grammar..

losing your accent is one thing, forgetting how to speak in coherent intelligible sentences is another matter entirely

Honestly, I was just in the Philippines for 2 weeks. Watched the Cowboy card with this Aussie dude and hung out with him and his buddies the rest of the afternoon. I'll be damned if I didn't catch myself thinking with an Australian fucking accent a couple times the next day. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I spent a few years in Australia (for example) and unintentionally adopted some kind of bastardized accent. I really don't find Dern's case very hard to believe, and moreover I really don't understand why it's such a source of pathological hate for so many on this site.

Exactly this...I'd say because of her being so into bjj for so long..that's been her life for a very long time...she wants to be associated with brazil and thought of as brazilian. even if she isn't...

If you look at how Arnold speaks....Arnold has been in this country since he was like 18 or 19 years old...he's like 70 now...and he still speaks with a fairly heavy austrian accent...so all these years in America, didn't rid him of his accent...That's over 50 years of being around english speaking people...and yet, he's never lost his accent...so this goes to show how fake the girl is.

I think people get triggered because it's so incredibly obvious that it's fake and she's doing it totally on purpose...Accents do not develop like that...she was raised in the USA. you don't just suddenly get an accent..I don't care if your mom or your boy friend are brazilian...she still interacts with many more people that speak without the brazilian accent...

I lived abroad and have gained accent. Stop talking about things you don't really know. You probably don't even speak multiple languages. Murica born most likely lol.
