Jiri is too humble, gave up his belt for free when he tore his shoulder - also this, tbh the fight was stopped early.

Loads of fighters will tell u they were completely out who came back to win fights and titles - is part of the game.

Luke Goddard is the problem here..

tbh if he feels that way, he feels that way. I do believe he's being more honorable (maybe for his own good). Not saying the results wouldn't have been the same, but Goddard should of definitely given that fight at least 3-5 seconds more before jumping in for sure.

I understand your take but if Jiri says it's fine......then fine.
Although dude has next level respect and class. Wish that would be rewarded but we know it won't.

As a big Mario Yamasaki fan, I can assure you that was a good stoppage. Marc knew Jiri was about to take a lot of unnecessary punishment which shortens careers.

Jiri's wrists go completely limp denoting a knock out and you think it should have kept going? How are you a 2005 account? The point of this sport isn't for guys to get shadowrealmed every single fight and I really thought we were making headway towards understanding that a stoppage 5 seconds early (where the result is still inevitable) is much better than a stoppage 5 seconds too late and can make the difference between a guy getting back in there in 6 months and someone having life long complications from unnecessary damage to the head.
Goddard did exactly what is deemed perfect in every MMA ref cert program. The moment a fighter showed sings of being incapable of intelligently defending themselves, he jumped.
This cope that somehow "Bro Jiri is just too humble" is trying to take away from Alex's win and I don't see the point in it. It's like everyone took Rogan and DC's half drunk commentary booth talking point and is STILL running with it even after Jiri said he was out, the slomo showed he was out, and we've seen identical knockouts from the same position. I just don't get it why some of you are being so fucking thickheaded about this stoppage lmao.
3-5 more seconds in fights like this is going to leave all of us with a whole lot more Gary Goodridges walking around, and I'll tell you, it'll feel really difficult being a fan of the sport if there is a constant infliction of unnecessary lifelong detriments to its participants.

Yes, he is a completely crazy dude, is too humble from reading the book of 7 rings or whatever. Doesnt understand that this is a business, he should have kept his belt and he should have protested the stoppage to force a rematch.

Nice guys finish last, literally in the UFC i mean. This is a mean business, he may never get a shot again - he could have protested the stoppage and forced a lucrative rematch worth millions of dollars. Even Rogan and everyone was immediately saying it was early - he could have easily of done this.
