Luckiest actor ever?

Marky Mark is a terrible actor generally and also had that violent hate crime + additional racist incidents that everyone knows about but still has a career that most actors would kill for. Dude definitely has some serious dirt on Hollywood

I do kinda get a kick out of him being the best thing in The Departed though
I wish he'd do more villainous roles like Fear

A lot of sitcom actors get lucky they just have a certain look they are looking for and i heard some actor got a part on her first audition. Her name doesnt come to mind right now. Not as the main character but a family member like a kid in a family. Sure after that work will dry up but if your on a sitcom for many seasons your set for life unless you squander the monry away.
Like the guy that plays Sheldon on the big bang theory. Jim something.

He would've spent his entire career getting small bit parts occasionally if he didn't get that show.

Vin Diesel.

Not gonna take anything away from his action movie screen presence. I'm talking about voicing Groot in GOTG. Made millions off of one sentence. In terms of work to worth ratio, that's as big of a jackpot as you can hit.
I think he voiced Groot in multiple versions (he voiced Groot in 15 languages for first GOTG). Yeah, it’s 2 or 3 sentences but still.

Or that redhead daughter of Roseanne in the tv show. 9 Seasons of snarky kid onto spin offs and even guest appearance she just played her lame self and is probably set for life. Atleast someone saw that sheldon guy as a main role even if only a very specific role. Nobody ever thought she got it but she somehow coasted along to being rich.

95% of them.

Daniel Radcliffe or Tom Holland are serviceable enough but they won the lottery by being cast in big roles, which I'm sure 100s of others could have done.

Even someone like RDJ, who was a pretty good, well respected actor saw his bank balance 50x by getting the Iron Man role.

Tom Holland is the best live action Peter Parker Spidey, yet 100s of other could have done the role justice, if not better? yeah, i'm not buying it.

Vin Diesel has Fast and Furious, Riddick, XXX, and GOTG. Again, multiple franchises. You take away a single role from him he's still a notable name making big movies. Dude would probably be pumping out XXX movies if not for the FF franchise. Also whether you like him or not, he has a distinct look and character that he brings to his roles.

Worthington is nobody without Avatar and the role itself is a generic character that anyone could play. He wouldn't have a career without it and he literally adds nothing to the role.
Diesel is an excellent voice actor as well.

this thread is evolving in a full on Bautista fan thread and I am 100% here for it.

the guy has become a legitimate actor. he has been seeking out some of the best working directors and finding ways to get into their movies.

in terms of lucky, Mila Kunis has been making bank doing a voice role for Family Guy since 1999. According to the google, she makes $100-$150K per episode. voice acting is probably more difficult than I think it is but I can't imagine that she works on that series more than a week or two total elapsed time per year. nice annuity. she has had success doing other things too but I am guessing she never would have imagined that some voice role for a weird cartoon comedy would pay her $50m over her life time.

Maybe not the luckiest but he punched far above his weight imo.

Jay Courtney - discount version of Sam Worthington. He was good in Spartacus, I have to admit but otherwise he's forgettable. Not horrible, but just forgettable.

I mean it's hard to disagree with the OP you pretty much answered your own thread. I remember Sam Worthington being in Avatar, Terminator, and Clash of Titans and I'm wondering how this guy with zero charisma keeps getting parts. Although he redeemed himself in my eyes in Hacksaw Ridge a little bit even though it was a small part.

I would say a lot of the Game of Thrones actors are pretty average (mostly the younger ones). Obviously difficult casting child actors growing into adult actors so no blame to the people doing the casting. Kit Harrington is extremely average. The Bran actor too. And for females a bunch only get work because they're hot, Jessica Alba comes to mind. Also have no idea how JLow keeps getting work.

He works in the world of Hollyweird, he's probably got other talents....

Yeah this guy, his net worth proves how lucky this guy is. With such limited talent.

Seth Green, too.
